The Ferdinand E. Marcos Presidential Center is a museum situated in Batac, Ilocos Norte dedicated to former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos which also hosts the cenotaph of the former President. The museum shows memorabilia of the late president, from his stint in the armed forces down to his presidency. The large cenotaph which contains the glass-encased coffin in which the widely believed embalmed body of Marcos was on public display shortly after his remains were brought in Ilocos Norte from the United States in 1993 until his body was re-interred at the Heroes' Cemetery in Taguig on November 18, 2016. A wax replica of Marcos remains to be displayed inside the glass coffin.

Watch: Marcos' Solid Bronze Casket Arrives At Batac, Ilocos Norte

Over a month ahead of the scheduled hero's burial for former dictator Ferdinand Marcos, his casket has arrived at Batac City, Ilocos Norte.

The confidentially priced, solid bronze casket was ordered from the U.S. and was picked by former First Lady Imelda Marcos herself, mortician Dr. Frank Malabed said.

Due to preparations for the burial, the Marcos Mausoleum will be closed to public until Wednesday.

Before Marcos is buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, funeral services will be held in Paoay and Batac churches.

On Sunday, the Department of National Defense (DND) issued a formal memorandum instructing the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to plan and prepare Marcos' interment.

In a memorandum dated August 7, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana ordered AFP Chief of Staff General Ricardo Visaya to undertake the necessary planning and preparations to facilitate the interment of the late dictator at the heroes' cemetery.

Lorenzana said the memorandum was pursuant to President Rodrigo Duterte's verbal order to implement his election promise to inter Marcos's remains at the Libingan ng Mga Bayani.

The Philippine Veterans Affairs Office was designated as the overseer and focal agency for the transfer of remains.

The Marcos Museum and Mausoleum integrates both memorabilia storage and the current resting place of Ferdinand Edralin Marcos. It is situated in the heart of Batac City, Ilocos Norte. The museum shows memorabilia of the late president, from his stint in the armed forces down to his presidency. The large and solemn mausoleum contains the glass-encased coffin in which Marcos' embalmed body has been on public display since shortly after his remains were brought home in 1993.
