Recently we have discovered Marie's Garden - an amazing organic farm and have been going back every week for more strawberries, spinach, green onions, radishes...
At our arrival, we receive a few words of explanation and the tools to do the picking. Then stroll along the fields, and pick your selection of crops. When you're finished shopping, you pay at the shop per piece or per weight depending on the variety.

The first Cru market opens late November in a renovated hovel in Overijse.
Enjoying simplicity is true luxury
Cru wishes to provide the experience of an actual market where the customer has the time and the space to wander around, be surprised, to taste and make contact. The Cru market unifies the vegetables and fruit, bread, meat, packed meat, poultry, fish, cheese and dairy sectors as well as home-made dishes, beverages and flowers.
'Cru' means 'raw', it symbolises simplicity and pure essence with the product in its pure, unprocessed form as a starting point. The name 'Cru' also refers to a special identity or origin; the ambition is to make it a 'Grand Cru' step by step.
Cru also wishes to offer relevant convenience, from semi-prepared (such as cleaned and blanched vegetables) to ready-to-eat home-made dishes. The employees will pay a lot of attention from the home experience to the presentation on the table. The market hall is already a place where customers can taste some things or have something to drink.

Scouts Overijse 1e plaats op Sjorrersnacht 2014
Vrijdag vertrokken we met onze leidingsploeg richting De Kluis om onze titel plaats te verdedigen op de Sjorrersnacht. We namen het op tegen 4 andere Scoutsverenigen, door een nachtje door te sjorren. Er mocht gesjord worden van zonsondergang tot zonsopgang.
In 2013 wonnen we met een impressionant reuzenrad. Dit jaar konden we de jury verrassen door 'Het paard van Troje' te sjorren. Achteraan maakten we een luik waardoor de leiding er probleemloos in en uit kon. Hiernaast kon ons paard ook nog vooruit rollen op balken.
Scouts Overijse mocht de wisselbeker dus weer mee naar huis nemen!
