Marina Beach is a natural urban beach in the city of Chennai (Madras), India, along the Bay of Bengal.The beach runs from near Fort St. George in the north to Foreshore Estate in the south, a distance of 6.0 km (3.7 mi),making it the longest natural urban beach in the country and one of the world's longest beach ranking with 1.The Marina is primarily sandy, unlike the short, rocky formations that make up the Juhu Beach in Mumbai. The average width of the beach is 300 m (980 ft) and the width at the widest stretch is 437 m (1,434 ft). Bathing and swimming at the Marina Beach are legally prohibited because of the dangers, as the undercurrent is very turbulent. It is one of the most crowded beaches in the country and attracts about 30,000 visitors a day during weekdays and 50,000 visitors a day during the weekends and on holidays.During summer months, about 1,50,000 to 2,00,000 people visit the beach daily.

It was just a 1 hour flight from Colombo to Chennai. I was already in South India in January, so I decided to take a train to Varanasi to go to Nepal.
I like Chennai (or Madras) though especially the metro going high above the ground, standing in the doorway for a fresh breeze and Marina Beach which has many happy people in the evening. When I have time I want to make a special video about Marina Beach, one about the Metro and one about the rest of Chennai. For now this is a very short quick edit of my many video shot.

Journey to Marina Beach full Details and MGR memorial full scene. MGR Memorial is a memorial structure built on the Marina Beach in Chennai India. It was built in memory of Former chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu, M.G. Ramachandran and J.Jayalalithaa. Spread over 8.25 acres,..the memorial is located adjacent to the Anna Memorial and has the highest footfall on the seafront. The body of Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and MGR's Protege J.Jayalalithaa is buried at this site on December 5, 2016 and Marina Beach is a Natural urban beach in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, along the Bay of bengal. The beach runs from near Fort St. George in the north to Foreshore Estate in the south, a distance of 6.0 km, making it the longest Natural urban Beach in the Country.

Madras High Court is one of the popular monuments in Chennai. Located near Marina Beach, Madras High Court is a prominent landmark of Chennai city. Madras High Court was one among the three High Courts in Pre-Independent India, the others being in Mumbai and Kolkata.
The Madras High Court was built in 1862 in the Indo-Saracenic architectural style. Henry Irwin designed Madras High Court. In 1914, Madras High Court was damaged by German attacks.
Madras High Court along with the High Courts in Mumbai and Kolkata are of great significance as they were created under Queen Victoria’s charter in the 19th century. It is the second largest judicial complex in the world.
