We filmed this live action on our honeymoon. It took alot of patience and hanging around til closing time to get this short shot. Hungry Croc nearly kills Heron. Thank you to all staff for putting up with us, you guy's are awesome!

Daintree Rainforest Journey Day 1 part 1 Marineland Melanesia Green Island
I recently visited the oldest Rainforest on earth, the 100+ million year old Daintree Rainforest. Before reaching the rainforest I took a boat trip to Marine land Melanesia, located on an island in the Pacific Ocean just off the east coast of Australia, to see the worlds largest captive crocodile and tour around this unusual island. The island, called Green island, was formed from nothing more than a sand bank and coral debris which was later fertilised by birds dropping plant seeds and faeces. The island at present now has a fully grown rainforest covering its surface.

The worlds largest crocodile in captivity named Cassius measures at 5.48 metres ( around 18 feet) and is believed to be over 110 years old.
He lives at Marineland Melanesia on Green Island off the coast of Cairns, Queensland.
Cassius was captured in 1984 in the Finis River, Northern Territory Australia. In 1987 George Craig trucked him over 3000 kilometres to Cairns and then ferry to Green Island, where he made Marineland Melanesia his new home. Cassius is the largest captive crocodile in the world and currently holds the Guinness World Record for this title.
