GERMANY: WURZBURG'S spectacular MARKET SQUARE (MARKTPLATZ) ????️
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go to the beautiful country of Germany and let's visit Wurzburg's popular Market Square which offers a wide selection of traditional goods in a historic outdoor setting. The area is dominated by the Gothic Marienkapelle Church which is surrounded by markets selling fruits, flowers, cheeses, meats, candies, and numerous other goods. Throughout the year, the site hosts numerous local festivals, such as the famous Christmas Market every December and the wine festival in late spring, where more than 100 local wines are paired with international cuisine for a 12-day celebration.
Würzburg is a city in Germany's Bavaria region. It's known for lavish baroque and rococo architecture, particularly the 18th-century Residenz palace, with ornate rooms, a huge fresco by Venetian artist Tiepolo and an elaborate staircase. Home to numerous wine bars, cellars and wineries, Würzburg is the center of the Franconian wine country, with its distinctive bocksbeutel (bottles with flattened round shapes).
Germany is a Western European country with a landscape of forests, rivers, mountain ranges and North Sea beaches. It has over 2 millennia of history. Berlin, its capital, is home to art and nightlife scenes, the Brandenburg Gate and many sites relating to WWII. Munich is known for its Oktoberfest and beer halls, including the 16th-century Hofbräuhaus. Frankfurt, with its skyscrapers, houses the European Central Bank.

Places to see in ( Wurzburg - Germany ) Marktplatz
The market place of Würzburg is a place at the Marienkapelle in the old town with regular markets and festivals / events. It is divided into the Upper Market (east, at the Falkenhaus) and the Lower Market (southwest, with Obeliskbrunnen ). North of the Marienkapelle, only separated by a narrow passage, is the Marienplatz .
From June 2007 to the end of 2008, the lower marketplace was redeveloped for 6.8 million euros. The entrance and exit to the market garage was closed, the corresponding access road closed and the surface newly paved. Also some new seating have been set up.
Despite the simultaneous construction of the Petrini house , the market has grown by about 1,000 square meters due to the redesign. The market square and also are Falkenhaus and built in 2008, Petrini-Haus (Forum) as well as many shops and cafes.

Halle (Germany) Walking to market square 哈雷(德國)-漫遊到市場廣場
從Dorint旅館順著Leipziger Street 開始漫遊,一路可以走到市場廣場。廣場上豎立著音樂巨匠韓德爾的雕像,因為這是他出生的城市。
Start walking along the Leipziger Street from the Dorint and walk all the way to the Market Square. The statue of the music master Handel was erected on the square because it was the city where he was born.
發現這個大學城,路上有許多雕像,行人也很多,感覺上非常有活力。也遇到了關懷地中海難民的團體,用很大聲的廣播作演講。
I found this university town, there are many statues on the road, there are many pedestrians, and it feels very energetic. I also met groups that care for Mediterranean refugees and gave speeches with loud broadcasts.
到了廣場後又是另一景象,景象非常生氣蓬勃,因為正逢周末,所以很熱鬧。
When I arrived at the square, it was another scene. The scene was very lively, because it was a weekend, so it was very lively.

WURZBURG GERMANY
A walk around Wurzburg Germany
Places to see in ( Wurzburg - Germany ) St Mary's Chapel
Places to see in ( Wurzburg - Germany ) St Mary's Chapel
St Mary's chapel at Würzburg Market Square is really worth seeing. Very remarkable about this church is the elaborate ornamentation, especially in the arches of the doorways. At the southern entrance you can see the very famous figures of Adam and Eve made by Tilman Riemenschneider in the year 1493. Tilman Riemenschneider was a German sculptor and woodcarver, who lived for a long time in Würzburg. And he created a lot of religious sculptures and altars. In the late Gothic period in the year 1377 citizens of Würzburg began with the construction of the chapel on their own responsibility. The curch was finished in 1480 with the erection of the church tower. The chapel is directly related to the destruction of the Jewish community of Würzburg.
Below the sacristy there is still the mikvah, the Jewish ritual bath, as a remnant of the former synagogue. If you step a bit further down, you can have a look at the top of the roof. In the year 1711 the tower was destroyed by a lightning strike. But two years later the church got a Baroque dome and on top a Madonna of gilded copper.
At the end of the 2nd World War in 1945 after a bomb attack, the roof, windows and interior were destroyed and the walls were damaged in their foundations. The tower with its Madonna was one of the little undestroyed things in the totally destroyed city.

EXPLORING historic FRANKFURT, GERMANY
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go for a tour around this magnificent German city - Frankfurt, one of my favorites from the whole of Europe! Vic Stefanu, vstefanu@yahoo.com. Frankfurt, a central German city on the Main River, is a major financial hub. It's the birthplace of writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, whose home is now the Goethe-Haus museum – which, like much of the city, was destroyed during World War II and rebuilt afterward. The reconstructed Altstadt (Old Town) is home to lively Römerberg Plaza, which hosts an annual Christmas market.
