Retire in Liverpool NS - Walk About Town
The town of Liverpool offers a variety of historical landmarks and old-world, European architecture, as well as a New England kind of charm. Located in the centre of town is the Astor Theatre which is the oldest performing arts venue in Nova Scotia. Built in 1902 as part of the historic Town Hall, the theatre was known as the Liverpool Opera House. The Astor Theatre played host to Symphony Nova Scotia, the Royal Shakespeare Company and recently to Ben Heppner. It's high rounded ceilings and plaster walls make the Astor a wonderful place to enjoy concerts and plays.
The weather in Liverpool is certainly for everyone; here the winter weather is not as extreme as in the surrounding province of Nova Scotia and is much milder than anywhere in central Canada. Spring comes early and is quite sunny but can be rainy; bringing the flowers to bloom by early April. Fall is lengthy and beautiful with warm days and cool nights. Winters are cooler and wet, with rain and some snow. Flowers burst with colour all summer season, waving in the breeze all along the edges of the endless beaches where the only footprints are one's own.
Market On The Mersey. June 15, 2012
In 2012, Market In The Mersey in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, relocated to the grounds of the Hank Snow Museum in the same town. This video was shot on a sunny Friday in the middle of June. At each market, musicians play for about two hours, just for the love of their music, watched by an appreciative audience. The background song was recorded at the museum that day.

Liverpool Stanley Docks Exploration
Opened in 1848, Stanley Dock sits on the River Mersey just North of Liverpool city centre. Standing at 125ft tall, the 14 storey Tobacco Warehouse spans across 36 acres (150,000 m2) with its construction using 27 million bricks, 30,000 panes of glass and 8,000 tons of steel. It's the largest brick warehouse in the world. The dock complex would've been an essential hive of activity in Liverpool's heyday with ships arriving from every corner of the British Empire carrying rum, tobacco, tea and many other goods.
Sadly, with the decline of trade going through Liverpool, the docks fell in to disuse and gradually, during the 1980s, disrepair. The Rum warehouse has now been converted into the Titanic Hotel, whilst the Tobacco Warehouse continues to sit eerily quiet, derelict and forgotten, still imposing itself on the city skyline and host to a wealth of intriguing relics from the past.
The basement of the Tobacco warehouse was used as a morgue for American Soldiers during WWII whilst the rest of the building has been a home for squatters, as well as being used by Liverpool gangs for illegal activities including the disposing of bodies.
In recent times, the docks have also been a filming location for the Guy Rithcie Sherlock Holmes film, Hollywood blockbuster Captain America and BBC hit TV show Peaky Blinders
By posting this video in no way do i encourage visiting of the site, it's unsafe, dangerous and illegal.

The Mersey River, formerly known as Rivière Rossignol by the Acadians, is a river in Nova Scotia, Canada. It is named after the River Mersey in Liverpool, England. The river proper flows from the eastern end of Eleven Mile Lake in Annapolis County southward to Kejimkujik Lake in Kejimkujik National Park, then through Lake Rossignol to empty into the Atlantic Ocean at the town of Liverpool, Nova Scotia. The true source of the river however is as far northwest as Sandy Bottom Lake (Annapolis County) or Tuskopeake Brook (Annapolis County) on the northern tributary.
The river was a major transportation route for the Mi'kmaq people of Nova Scotia. Later, it was used to transport logs out of the interior of the province. The river was described in Albert Bigelow Paine's The Tent Dwellers, albeit under the name 'Liverpool river'. Now, there are a number of hydroelectric projects on the river.
Tributaries of this river include the:
Shelburne River
West River
Little River

Walking from St Paul's Cathedral to Monument, London | 4k, October 2019
Walking from St Paul's Cathedral to Monument, London, October 16th 2019.
St Paul's Cathedral, London, is an Anglican cathedral, the seat of the Bishop of London and the mother church of the Diocese of London. It sits on Ludgate Hill at the highest point of the City of London and is a Grade I listed building. Its dedication to Paul the Apostle dates back to the original church on this site, founded in AD 604. The present cathedral, dating from the late 17th century, was designed in the English Baroque style by Sir Christopher Wren. Its construction, completed in Wren's lifetime, was part of a major rebuilding programme in the City after the Great Fire of London. The cathedral building largely destroyed in the Great Fire, now often referred to as Old St Paul's Cathedral, was a central focus for medieval and early modern London, including Paul's walk and St. Paul's Churchyard being the site of St. Paul's Cross.
The Monument to the Great Fire of London, more commonly known simply as the Monument, is a Doric column in London, United Kingdom, situated near the northern end of London Bridge. Commemorating the Great Fire of London, it stands at the junction of Monument Street and Fish Street Hill, 202 feet (62 m) in height and 202 feet west of the spot in Pudding Lane where the Great Fire started on 2 September 1666. Constructed between 1671 and 1677, it was built on the site of St. Margaret's, Fish Street, the first church to be destroyed by the Great Fire. It is Grade I listed and is a scheduled monument. Another monument, the Golden Boy of Pye Corner, marks the point near Smithfield where the fire was stopped.
