The Train from Marrakech to Casablanca, Morocco: Our Experience
We recently visited Morocco and took the train from Marrakech to Casablanca. It was scheduled for 3.5 hours, but took a bit longer than 4 hours. It was a pleasant experience for all. We recommend getting the 1st class tickets for a bit more space and comfort.

In our first episode we are in MARRAKECH! We are here to eat as much HALAL STREET FOOD as possible! We are spending the day exploring the ancient medina and eating a ton of food along the way. We start the day eating Bessara (Moroccan fava bean soup), and then visit the community bakery. We visit the first pastry shop in Marrakech to try some traditional sweets, and wash it down with freshly squeezed pomegranate juice. The medina features some cool shops that sell pickles and famous Moroccan mint. We have lunch in a busy corner of the market and try cactus fruit for the first time. We take a break from eating and visit the Secret Garden and then watch the sunset over the city. In the evening, we hit the night market for more food: Jemaa el-Fna. We eat the classic Moroccan street foods - like braised escargots!
What a HUGE day of eating traditional dishes and STREET FOOD in Marrakesh! MASSIVE thanks to Mohamed from Moroccan Food Tour for making this happen. Why You Should Visit Fez, Not Marrakech
Experience the true beauty of Fez and why you should visit Fez, not Marrakech. This summer I decided to visit my first African country, Morocco. As it counts in Europa as a dangerous country I was really concerned about going. Family members and friends advised me not to go if I would not want to risk my life. I spotted a very cheap flight (50€ round trip), teamed up with a very good friend of mine, and explored what this culture is about.
Morocco, a North African country is distinguished by its Berber, Arabian and European cultural influences. Because of this, the people speak there Arabic, French, and some Spanish. Fes is often referred to as the country’s cultural capital. It’s primarily known for its Fes El Bali walled medina, and old-world atmosphere. Exactly this is what made me choose this city over Marrakesh and I am more than happy with the decision. I wanted to experience the real deal. The medina is home to religious schools such as the 14th-century Bou Inania and Al Attarine and to all the locals. The people of Fez actually live in the Medina and you don't feel as much as a tourist as you don't see a lot of them. Getting lost in the Medina is an exciting and scary experience and I highly recommend downloading the google maps offline map and always pretending that you know where you are. Each time we made a wrong turn and had to go back, the locals noticed us and tried to guide us. It is well known that every service of a Moroccan street man will cost you a few dirhams if not more. If you need help ask a waiter in a restaurant.
I don't know if I missed something in Chefchaouen, but honestly to waste your time going there if the effort is too big.
The whole trip was really eyeopening to me and I'm thankful for each friend I made there who taught me a tiny bit of his culture.
If you made it that far, I appreciate you. Thank you for sticking around. You are awesome.

Amazing Sahara Desert Tour Experience (Marrakech to Fes)(Cinematic)(GH5)
Had the pleasure collaborating with Marrakech Desert Trips to experience their 3 day / 2 night Marrakech to Fes desert tour excursion. Here's a highlight of the tour experience and I highly recommend anyone traveling to Morocco to do this tour with them. Their driver and accommodations are world class and much better than the other tour companies out there, as we spoke to several different people on the same route as us, but had booked with other tour companies.

FIRST TIME IN MARRAKECH :: MOROCCO'S BEAUTIFUL RED CITY MEDINA
If you find yourself in Marrakech you must find the Good Year shop where he makes everything from recycled tired. One of the coolest places I have ever shopped and it doesn't get any more sustainable than that. Marrakech is SO much bigger than I had thought and we only scratched the surface of the old city Medina today -- this is only part I of this vlog because there was so much footage I had to cut it in half. People said that we should prepare ourselves for how crazy the Red City would be for us -- but honestly, I found it to be pretty similar to home and we felt safe even at night... even if we got insanely ripped off by all the taxi drivers (( coming in part II will be up tomorrow! ))

First Thoughts on Morocco | Exploring The Streets of Marrakech
We have said goodbye to the UK and flown all the way to Morocco for the very first time! Very excited to be here - these are our first impressions!
First up we left London Heathrow to fly British Airways for the first time towards Marrakesh. Upon arrival our Airbnb host organized a hotel transfer for us (which we highly recommend doing).
The next day we explored the streets of Marrakech, going into the Medina and markets to try and attempt to do some shopping and enjoying a quiet Friday afternoon in the Jemma El Fna.
To end our first few days in Marrakech we did a tajine cooking class.

This is a great area to understand better the traditional old culture of this country. Can be quite intimidating at first but, embrace the madness, relax and enjoy this fascinating place where you can buy anything you want and try all the foods. Remember, sellers usually start with a ridiculous price because they expect to bargain with you. This is a new experience on all the senses, the noise, smells and sights, the narrow passageways, the pollution from the motor scooters. It's wonderful! Remember to have an open mind!

How do you say it: Marrakech or Marrakesh? Don’t worry, both are okay! Marrakech Morocco in 4K by Wanna Walk - The common English spelling is Marrakesh and Marrakech in French is also widely used. I was told that the name Marrakech comes from the words amur kush which means The Land of God. This is the third largest city in Morocco with less population than Casablanca and Fez. The city lies near of the Atlas Mountains and it's pretty close to the Sahara Desert. Be sure to also visit the square of Jemaa El-Fna is very popular, in particular in the Marrakech's night. Lovely atmosphere at night in Gueliz, vibrant and very safe.
