Visit Marrakech: What To Do In Marrakech?
Full Vlog:
Planning to visit Marrakech? Here's a short vlog about what to do in Marrakech Morocco!
My wife and I took a 10 hour overnight train from Tangier to Marrakech. It was a very safe ride and actually pretty relaxing. Once we left the train station, we definitely realized we were in a big city!
First off let's talk about how to get around Marrakech. You're going to see buses, scooters, horse and carriages are fun, donkeys, and taxis, but my favorite way to get around Marrakech is just walking. The city is small enough to walk through the Marrakech souk and the medina. You'll find most Moroccan restaurants and shopping in this area. Speaking of restaurants....I would recommend going to a rooftop to eat in Marrakech. One of our favorite spots to eat was Nomad. You can people watch on the rooftop and see how the city operates from a birds eye view. We randomly got an amazing belly dancing show the one time we decided to eat inside. At night the city comes back alive with street food and overly excited street vendors pushing you (not literally) to eat at their restaurant.
When you visit Marrakech, you're probably going to see some things you're not used to seeing back home, that's what makes this place so awesome! Watch out for snakes and monkeys (unless you're in to that) and go get lost in the Marrakech medina. Bargain with the locals but don't get scammed, learn more on my vlog here:
Marrakech attractions:
Some of the top attractions we saw were the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, and of course my wife had to go to the henna art cafe:

Epcot’s best Restaurant Morocco Marrakesh belly dancing henna princess jasmine
Join Sou Sou and her family while they visit Epcot’s destination for Moroccan fare with lavish Arabic design, plus live music & belly dancers.Free Henna. Towards the back of the pavilion, guests will have a chance to meet Aladdin and Princess Jasmine. Sometimes other characters from the film can be found here, but most of the time it’s Aladdin and Jasmine. Lines tend to be a little shorter here due to its location, so it’s a great way to meet some characters without taking up too much time. Family fun for everyone even baby Sou Sou joins the belly dancers !!!
Morocco is the only pavilion to be sponsored by its government and not a company. The King of Morocco even sent some of his own architects to help create the buildings to ensure an authentic atmosphere. Once inside the marketplace, you’re cut off from the rest of World Showcase and can feel completely immersed in the Moroccan scenery. The tower is a replica of a 12th Century mosque and the detail all the way down to the tiles used in the mosaic designs is breathtaking. Even the plant life is local to the county.
Maroc - Marrakech - La place Djema El Fna .mov
