Walking Tour of Marrakech -- Morocco Old Medina Souk【4K】????????
Welcome to Marrakech, Morocco. A new Walking Tour of the Old Medina (Old City) and Main Square Djemaa El-Fna across of endless labyrinths of souks. In 4K by Wanna Walk
The common English spelling is Marrakesh and Marrakech in French is also widely used. I was told that the name Marrakech comes from the words amur kush which means The Land of God. This is the third largest city in Morocco with less population than Casablanca and Fez. The city lies near of the Atlas Mountains and it's pretty close to the Sahara Desert.
There are two very distinctive areas in Marrakesh: one is the Old Medina (old city) and the new Marrakesh, which is a kinda European style district called Ville Nouvelle or Gueliz. If you wanna walk, everything in the Old Medina can be seen on foot. A GPS is key because it's a laberintic area and you may not want to constantly ask for help to locals.

This is a new Wanna Walk tour in North Africa! The Medina is the old, historic district of Marrakech and the main square in the Medina is Djemaa El-Fna, surrounded by endless labyrinths of souks covering all of the Medina.
A Camera Floating Among The Crowd. Walking Around Marrakech, Souks in Old Medina, Morocco in 4K by Wanna Walk. So, how do you say it: Marrakech or Marrakesh? Don’t worry, both are okay!
MARRAKECH, Morocco — Video Walk【4K】????????
At night this area gets crowded as people navigate toward the exotic aromas and sights where exotic and hypnotic music appears louder too. There are many things to see and do in Marrakech. Walking around the souks will take you many hours as well as several historical and architectural places and some interesting museums.
What is Jemaa el-Fnaa? It’s a very popular square market in Marrakesh, medina quarter, Morocco. Also called Jemaa el-Fnaa (Arabic: ساحة جامع الفناء and Jemaa el-Fna, Djema el-Fna or Djemaa el-Fnaa) square and market.

What to see? The square of Djemaa El-Fna is very popular, in particular in the Marrakech's night. This place offers musicians, story tellers, drum beats, food, fruit juices, things like that. There are also some insisting Arab women wanting to give you a henna tattoo. I strongly recommend to totally ignore anyone who offers you something like a photo with a poor monkey or a snake over your shoulder.

The markets of Marrakech (Souks or suuqs) close to Place Djemaa El-Fna offers almost anything, from souvenirs to spices, tea pots, tanginess, shoes, and much more. Being a foreigner means you'll pay more. The Koutoubia Mosque is right besides Djemaa El-Fna. The minaret of the mosque very popular and visible from almost all the city. As with most mosques in Morocco, non-Muslims are not allowed inside. Walking Tour of Marrakech -- Morocco Old Medina Souk

In our first episode we are in MARRAKECH! We are here to eat as much HALAL STREET FOOD as possible! We are spending the day exploring the ancient medina and eating a ton of food along the way. We start the day eating Bessara (Moroccan fava bean soup), and then visit the community bakery. We visit the first pastry shop in Marrakech to try some traditional sweets, and wash it down with freshly squeezed pomegranate juice. The medina features some cool shops that sell pickles and famous Moroccan mint. We have lunch in a busy corner of the market and try cactus fruit for the first time. We take a break from eating and visit the Secret Garden and then watch the sunset over the city. In the evening, we hit the night market for more food: Jemaa el-Fna. We eat the classic Moroccan street foods - like braised escargots!
What a HUGE day of eating traditional dishes and STREET FOOD in Marrakesh! MASSIVE thanks to Mohamed from Moroccan Food Tour for making this happen. We recently visited Morocco and took the train from Marrakech to Casablanca. It was scheduled for 3.5 hours, but took a bit longer than 4 hours. It was a pleasant experience for all. We recommend getting the 1st class tickets for a bit more space and comfort.
