Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises 8.06.19 Cape Cod Whale Watching
Nine AM cruise out of Barnstable, Massachusetts on August 6, 2019.
Morning was overcast and rained on the voyage out to Stellwagon Bank. First sighting was a Minke whale, saw a few more on the trip.
First Humpback was FRECKLES. Second Humback was SCYLLA and her calf. Highly recommend a whale watch, staff was extremely knowledgable and friendly.

Travel vlog 569 | Singapore to Chiang Mai, Thailand | Country #82/100
This episode is Part 2 of our really long travel day from Canada to Thailand. We spent the day reminiscing our first year of travel when we came to Singapore for the first time! We rented e-scooters which was the perfect way to see the city in a short amount of time! We ate at hawkers, watched the sunset at the harbor, and of course had a photoshoot at the iconic Marina Bay Sans :) And the rest of the episode is basically us being walking zombies as we travel to Chiang Mai! Thankfully, there were airport lounges involved ;)
Here’s Nate’s FREE guide to airport lounge access:
ALL the music we use is from Epidemic Sound:

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

'We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance.'
First of all the hotel we stayed in (Coconut Lagoon) was incredible and thanks to them for the stay. We explored a local village and got the chance to climb a coconut tree... Getting up the tree was easy, getting down was the hard part.
We then danced on the river and saw some elephants (do your own research).
Finally we moved to a new hotel (Green Woods) in Thekkady and got an insane welcome parade!

Travel has changed my life and I have no plans on stopping any time soon.
That's why I am now running this video blog showing you how to travel the world continuously
FAQ:
How did you learn to edit?
I taught myself. I downloaded Premiere Pro and began to figure out how to use it through trial and error. My videos were pretty bad at first but eventually, and with the help of many tutorials, you start to figure out what works.

Where do you live?
Right now, I travel the world continuously and so do not have a permanent base or home anywhere. I am not sure how long this is going to be the situation but right now I just want to keep travelling.

A hotel is an establishment that provides paid lodging on a short-term basis. Facilities provided may range from a modest-quality mattress in a small room to large suites with bigger, higher-quality beds, a dresser, a fridge and other kitchen facilities, upholstered chairs, a flatscreen television and en-suite bathrooms. Small, lower-priced hotels may offer only the most basic guest services and facilities. Larger, higher-priced hotels may provide additional guest facilities such as a swimming pool, business centre (with computers, printers and other office equipment), childcare, conference and event facilities, tennis or basketball courts, gymnasium, restaurants, day spa and social function services. Hotel rooms are usually numbered (or named in some smaller hotels and B&Bs) to allow guests to identify their room. Some boutique, high-end hotels have custom decorated rooms. Some hotels offer meals as part of a room and board arrangement. In the United Kingdom, a hotel is required by law to serve food and drinks to all guests within certain stated hours. In Japan, capsule hotels provide a tiny room suitable only for sleeping and shared bathroom facilities.
A typical hotel room with a bed, desk and television
The precursor to the modern hotel was the inn of medieval Europe. For a period of about 200 years from the mid-17th century, coaching inns served as a place for lodging for coach travelers. Inns began to cater to richer clients in the mid-18th century. One of the first hotels in a modern sense was opened in Exeter in 1768. Hotels proliferated throughout Western Europe and North America in the early 19th century, and luxury hotels began to spring up in the later part of the 19th century.
Hotel operations vary in size, function, and cost. Most hotels and major hospitality companies have set industry standards to classify hotel types. An upscale full-service hotel facility offers luxury amenities, full service accommodations, an on-site restaurant, and the highest level of personalized service, such as a concierge, room service and clothes pressing staff. Full service hotels often contain upscale full-service facilities with a large number of full service accommodations, an on-site full service restaurant, and a variety of on-site amenities. Boutique hotels are smaller independent, non-branded hotels that often contain upscale facilities. Small to medium-sized hotel establishments offer a limited amount of on-site amenities. Economy hotels are small to medium-sized hotel establishments that offer basic accommodations with little to no services. Extended stay hotels are small to medium-sized hotels that offer longer-term full service accommodations compared to a traditional hotel.
Timeshare and destination clubs are a form of property ownership involving ownership of an individual unit of accommodation for seasonal usage. A motel is a small-sized low-rise lodging with direct access to individual rooms from the car park. Boutique hotels are typically hotels with a unique environment or intimate setting. A number of hotels have entered the public consciousness through popular culture, such as the Ritz Hotel in London. Some hotels are built specifically as a destination in itself, for example at casinos and holiday resorts.
Most hotel establishments are run by a General Manager who serves as the head executive (often referred to as the Hotel Manager), department heads who oversee various departments within a hotel (e.g., food service), middle managers, administrative staff, and line-level supervisors.

Simulation of 2004 Boxing Day tsunami - Patong beach
The 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake occurred off the west coast of Sumatra, Indonesia.
The quake triggered a series of devastating tsunamis along the coast of most of the landmasses bordering the Indian Ocean, inundating coastal communities with waves up to 30 meters.
This simulation shows the tsunami hitting Patong Beach, one of the worst affected areas of Phuket, Thailand.
The underlying model used to generate the scenario is the ANUGA hydrodynamic model which is a free and open source software tool, suitable for predicting the consequences of hydrological disasters such as riverine flooding, storm surges and tsunamis.
