Martin 1941 Museum Edition Replicates Display
Based off a 1941-built guitar that resides in Martin's Nazareth, PA museum, the Martin 1941 Museum Edition is almost an exact replica. Of course, due to the depletion of the rainforest, that almost means the Brazilian Rosewood has been replaced with Madagascar Rosewood, but regardless, it's a sweet ax.

Martin Guitars D-28 1943 Acoustic Guitar Adirondack / Brazilian Rosewood.
In absolutely magnificent 'museum' like condition and inspiring to play. The instrument was resprayed some 22+ years ago, however, everything else is all original including the case!
The guitar has recently had a neck reset and full inspection from UK's leading Martin expert David King of Dave King Acoustics LLP.
Here is what Dave King has to say about the instrument:
.............................................
...There are a couple of things that give the guitar away as having been resprayed. For example, when I removed the neck a small build-up of lacquer was visible around the neck join.
Saying that it was done many years ago and very well !!! It’s a great guitar...

As we know the Martin D-28 is an absolute benchmark dreadnought and early D-28s rank as some of the most collectible acoustic guitars ever. When Martin introduced the D-28 in 1931, it laid the groundwork for where the acoustic guitar industry would go. Very few D-28s were made in the first several years of production, up until a switch was made from a 12-fret to a 14-fret neck in 1934. By 1943, other changes include a decrease in nut width and the use of scalloped bracing.
Comes with original case (new handle).
Please see letter attached from the current owner.
Notable Players: Paul McCartney, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Hank Williams, Elvis Presley

For well over a century and a half, The Martin Guitar Company has been continuously producing acoustic instruments that are acknowledged to be the finest in the world.
The Martin Guitar Company has, through the years, managed to survive with each succeeding generation from C. F. Martin, Sr.'s Stauffer influenced creations of the 1830s to recent developments introduced by C. F. Martin IV. Continuous operation under family management is a feat bordering on the remarkable, reflecting six generations of dedication to the guitarmaker's craft. In or out of the music industry, C. F. Martin has few rivals for sheer staying power.
Throughout its colorful history, the company has adapted successfully to continual changes in product design, distribution systems, and manufacturing methods. In spite of the many changes, C. F. Martin has never veered away from its initial commitment to quality. The concern for producing the finest instruments possible in 1833 is especially evident today at Martin's expanded facility in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
The story behind one of America's most famous guitars began on January 31, 1796, in Markneukirchen, Germany, with the birth of Christian Frederick Martin, Sr. Born into a long line of cabinet makers, Christian Frederick took up the family craft at the early age of 15, when he left his hometown and traveled to Vienna to apprentice with Johann Stauffer, a renowned guitar maker.

The Story of Martin Guitars - American Re-Made with Christian F. Martin IV
A news feature from 2014 on America's oldest guitar manufacturer from 2014 featuring CEO and Chairman Chris Martin IV of Martin Guitars discussing their iconic role since his great-great-great-grandfather founded C. F. Martin & Co. Never the cheapest guitars on the rack, Martin guitars, while expensive, are known for their tone, high quality woods and workmanship, and a lifetime guarantee.
In the preface to the 1904 catalog, Frank Henry Martin explained to potential customers of the investment they are making with a Martin instrument, How to build a guitar to give this tone is not a secret. It takes care and patience. Care in selecting the materials, laying out the proportions, and attending to the details which add to the player’s comfort. Patience in giving the necessary time to finish every part. A good guitar cannot be built for the price of a poor one, but who regrets the extra cost for a good guitar?
Some of the greatest musicians in contemporary music history have played Martins including iconic and popular performers such as Judy Collins, David Crosby, Neko Case, Steve Miller, Elvis Presley, Stephen Stills, Kurt Cobain, Ry Cooder, Johnny Cash, Joan Baez, John Mayer, The Avett Brothers, Eric Clapton, Gene Autry, Gordon Lightfoot, Eddie Vedder, Roseanne Cash, Willie Nelson, Ed Sheeran, Neil Young, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Hall & Oates, The Louvin Brothers, Woody Guthrie, Jeff Tweedy, Jason Isbell , John Lennon and many more.

2003 Martin D-50 Deluxe Brazilian Brazilian/Bearclaw Sitka #2 of 50 Ever Made! at Dream Guitars
I had the chance to play one of these before and it's quite a thrill to hold a guitar like this one. You might want to put this in a nice display case because the inlay done by Pearl Works is amazing and incredibly detailed. By the way, it's fun to play as well. There' so much to love about this highly collectible Martin D-50, I hardly know where to start! Of course, the fingerboard inlay is incredible, but one of my favorite details is the abalone herringbone purflings. They just add a great, subtle glow to the perimeter of the body. Not to be outdone by the shellwork, the woods used are lovely and unusual. The pale Brazilian Rosewood is paired beautifully with the heavily bearclawed Sitka Spruce top. Of course, this bad boy has all that legendary dreadnought tone -- big fat bass notes and chimey trebles seem to sustain for days, and will have all the banjo pickers at the Feed n Seed running for cover! This is a terrific opportunity to acquire the cornerstone to a museum-worthy guitar collection. -

Emeralds of Bahia, Brazil by GIA
Emeralds of Bahia, Brazil by GIA. What is unique about a Bahia emerald? In this video, Sergio Martins discusses the distinguishing qualities of emerald gemstone from Bahia, Brazil. He talks about the emerald mine, three different emerald specimens, as well as the region of Bahia and the effects of the mine's presence. The Bahia mine is more than 60 years old and has become a very important source. It spans a large area where veins of emerald are up to 30 kilometers away from one another. Recently, it has produced an impressive quantity of emerald stone. Most are not gem quality, but the crystal size is generally large. There may be pieces of emerald up to 100 kilos. These lower-quality large emeralds are used for beads or carvings instead of gemstones.

1930 Martin 000-45 Brazilian/Adirondack (Red)
Needless to say, this is the ultimate dream guitar. I've always felt that the early 1930s were when the Martin guitar company was making its best guitars. Very few of these were made since the Depression prevented people from buying the higher-end Martins. This one is not only in incredible original condition for a guitar this age, but it also sounds perfect. The balance is exactly what you want to hear in a fingerstyle guitar. The necks they were building in 1930 had the perfect shape, in my opinion. In fact, I have two guitars that have that exact neck profile and they are still my favorites to play. There is a very slight V in the shape, but not enough to make it feel strange to a modern guitarist. Because this was the biggest guitar they were building at the time, it has lots of very well-controlled bass response that is still compelling after 86 years of age. Just amazing and in this condition, the perfect collectible. When I die, I hope heaven is full of 1930 Martin 000-45s. This guitar is without a doubt one of the greatest pre war Martins on the planet today, and in better shape than I'd have imagined a 86-year-old guitar could hope to be in! The voice is everything you'd expect from a guitar of this vintage, and more. I don't know the next time will be when I'll see such an iconic Martin, in such condition, that's not on display at the Martin museum! -
