DIY Ankgor Wat Temple Tour with kids! Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Our first day of visiting temples in Siem Reap. We reserved our favorite tuk tuk driver for the day and he drove us around to four of the most gorgeous temple ruins. We even got a free sunset at Angkor Wat because of when we bought the ticket. Score! The best part of these ruins is the fact that you can still walk on them. It's hard to imagine that still being able to happen in a few decades. So lucky to be here.
Angkor Thom, Angkor Wat & Siem Reap (Cambodia) - 4K
Trip Advisor gives both Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat five star reviews, so I was really looking forward to visiting both and they lived up to expectation. We start with a fun tuk tuk ride from our hotel in Siem Reap to Ankor Wat, a really impressive temple surrounded by lakes and woodland. See the stone carved murals and marvel at the workmanship of the lost Khmer empire. After walking along an impressive causeway we reach the ornate entrance the Ankor Thom, a collection of smaller temples, many of which have literally been engulfed by huge trees. The forest and temples have become one to create a fantastic scene that could well be part of a fictional novel about ancient myths, legends and fairytales.

TONLE SAP - Siem Reap - Cambodia Travel Vlog
Siem Reap, Cambodia was one of our favourite places we've been so far. On our first day we took a boat ride to Tonle Sap - the largest lake in south east asia. We took a river boat out there to see the water villages and learned all about the lake and the people who live there.

Preah Khan Temple | Siem Reap | Cambodia | 20th November 2015 |
Preah Khan is a temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built in the 12th century for King Jayavarman VII to honor his father. It is located northeast of Angkor Thom and just west of the Jayatataka baray, with which it was associated. It was the centre of a substantial organisation, with almost 100,000 officials and servants. The temple is flat in design, with a basic plan of successive rectangular galleries around a Buddhist sanctuary complicated by Hindu satellite temples and numerous later additions. Like the nearby Ta Prohm, Preah Khan has been left largely unrestored, with numerous trees and other vegetation growing among the ruins. This video recorded 20 November 2015.Thank you for visiting my channel.

Driving Malaysia’s First National Car to Vietnam Presents: 24 Hours in Siem Reap.
Last year Jeremy and Tam took an epic adventure driving Malaysia's First National car from Kuala Lumpur to Vietnam. They had not been successful in driving across to border to Cambodia, so they decided to Park their Proton Saga in Bangkok and took a flight into Siem Reap. In this video you will see their hijinks in Cambodia, while they stopped over in Siem Reap on their way to Hoi An.
They tried to fly a DJI Mavic Pro in Angkor Wat, they tried out some Happy Pizza, which led them to have some extra courage to try out some Cambodian delicacies...SPIDERS! And when they tried to leave for Da Nang, there was some miscommunication with Angkor Air at the airport.
This film was slightly influenced by the Sony Spiderman and Marvel conflict of 2019.
RIP Tom Holland's Spiderman. ????

Exploring Angkor Wat | SIEM REAP Travel Diary CAMBODIA
Vlog 021
Here is some footage from my second trip to Angkor Wat. I saw SO much more than the first time.
Advice: 1. go in a car if you can, if not, by tuk tuk & RESERVE HIM FOR THE WHOLE DAY! The first time I went I only saw one temple because I was too hot, tired, & oblivious to even think about exploring further. This also gives you some time to rest in between temples & leaves you with the ability to stop on the side of the road to enjoy the wild monkeys & photo opportunities as you please. 2. GET A MAP as I said, the first time I went I didn't even know there were other temples surrounding Angkor Thom -_- 3. Wear clothes covering your shoulders & knees. I know it's hot but they are cracking down on dress code, especially in what they consider holy places. If you have to wear a tank, bring an over shirt along. 4. Wear bright colors. They show up so nice in pictures whereas neutral colors will blend in to the scenery. 5. Bring a bandana or scarf. You'll need something to wipe your sweat & a bandana is much more classy than an old kitchen rag. 6. Bring water & snacks. The refreshments there are overpriced as pure usual
at tourist attractions 7. Don't ride the elephants! I love being close to animals more than most, but these elephants are ill treated in order to be there for you. Take pictures, enjoy seeing them, but paying to ride them only encourages their owners behavior of treating them poorly. 8. Skip the tour guide. Instead watch a documentary before. There are tons available here on YouTube. This way you'll have a lot of the info, but you can go at your own pace.. & it saves a few $$$ 9. Avoid the kids selling things! I know you want to help but they will swarm you if you give them one look. It's better to just buy at the market where it's cheaper and more organized anyway. & the markets are worth exploring! 10. Enjoy! Marvel at the beauty and ingenuity of this ancient people and let it remind you that even the magnificent things of this world will turn to dust, but there is One that is forever, Jesus.

5th trip to Cambodia
Finally, it was time to bring them home, as her family and friends wept farewell. Meanwhile, it was another one of my wife's cousin's wedding and her uncle sang his heart out. Cindy was ready to eat real food, as her grandma fed her some borbor, a Cambodian porridge.
Temples and Water fights in Siem Reap Cambodia
The second part of our Siem Reap Tour. We get a ride around in the back of a ute armed with our water guns, check out some temples and hang out with some of Kinal's mates (including the very animated Channa). Josh and I also get up to a bit of karaoke after some refreshments..

An amazing experience exploring the Angkor temples | Things to do in Siem Reap (Cambodia Ep 7)
We finished our Cambodia experience hitting the main things to do in Siem Reap, namely an intense exploration of the world renowned Angkor temples, a UNSECO site and home to Angkor Wat, Bayon and Ta Phrom among others. This is the undisputed highlight of any trip to Cambodia and for us it was no exception. Kel and I spent a day on bikes exploring the less known temples, before joining Helen and Pete to hit the main attractions. We also enjoyed Siem Reap's market scene, the artisan workshop, and just the feel of this great town itself.

Always infected by the travel bug they finally decided to head off on an adventure and started with Vietnam and Laos before heading to Sri Lanka, India and then Cambodia. Their mission is to explore as many off the beaten track places as possible through a slow travel philosophy on a tight budget.

Amazing Architecture of Ta Prohm, Angkor Wat, Combodia.
Like most Khmer temples, Ta Prohm is oriented to the east. The temple also features stone reliefs of devatas - minor female deities, meditating monks or ascetics, and dvarapalakas or temple guardians.
The three inner enclosures of the temple proper are galleried, the Hall of Dancers between the third and fourth eastern gopuras and a House of Fire east of the fourth eastern gopura and five rectangular enclosing walls surround a central sanctuary.

Phimeanakas (Khmer: ប្រាសាទភិមានអាកាស, Prasat Phimean Akas, 'celestial temple') or Vimeanakas (Khmer: ប្រាសាទវិមានអាកាស, Prasat Vimean Akas) at Angkor, Cambodia, is a Hindu temple in the Khleang style, built at the end of the 10th century, during the reign of Rajendravarman (from 941-968), then rebuilt by Suryavarman II in the shape of a three tier pyramid as a Hindu temple. On top of the pyramid there was a tower, while on the edge of top platform there are galleries. Phimeanakas is located inside the walled enclosure of the Royal Palace of Angkor Thom north of Baphuon.[1]
The tower must originally have been crowned with a golden pinnacle, as Zhou Daguan described it in his report. According to legend, the king spent the first watch of every night with a woman thought to represent a Nāga in the tower, during that time, not even the queen was permitted to intrude. Only in the second watch the king returned to his palace with the queen. If the naga who was the supreme land owner of Khmer land did not show up for a night, the king's day would be numbered, if the king did not show up, calamity would strike his land. Impressive laterite and sandstone pyramid. The lack of surviving carvings leaves it artistically uninteresting, but it is the tallest scalable temple in Angkor Thom, providing a nice view from the top. The western staircase (at the back) is the most easily ascended. Located inside the ancient Royal Palace compound, Phimeanakas served as the king’s temple. Legend has it that the golden tower crowned the temple and was inhabited by a serpent, which would transform into a woman. The kings of Angkor were required to make love with the serpent every night, lest disaster befall him or the kingdom
