In the streets of pastel light where slow happiness flows through the doorway, sweet fragrance slowly spreads. This candy, which is too pretty to eat, is made with sugar, almonds, and these fingertips. The artisans who can draw pictures on this cake are only six people in the whole country, and the marzipan sweets which are slightly different are so colored. The majority of the marzipan cookies we use have been around before this chocolate cafe brand was created. 200 years ago, George Stodra came from the time when the confectioner was active. Just like those times in black and white photography, the happy moments of Tallinn's hands, like the medieval times of the marriage of the old days. When I talk to the guests like this, all the positive energy comes to me. I draw a picture that my name does not reveal as a marzipan artist, but when the guests praise the finished marzipan with an interest in the way I draw the picture, this picture has my name

Pastellide tänavatel, kus ukseava läbib aeglast õnne, levib mõnus lõhnaaine aeglaselt. See kombe, mis on liiga ilus süüa, valmistatakse suhkru, mandli ja nende sõrmeotstega. Meet my Girlfriend | Tallinn, Estonia Travel Vlog
I'm in Tallinn, Estonia and my girlfriend has joined me for a bit.

My TopDeck Travel trip through Scandinavia has come to an end here in Tallinn, Estonia. The trip was absolutely awesome. I made so many cool new friends, and we just had an amazing time. There were also so many cool images and video clips to come out of it. I think the vlogs, too, came out really amazingly. I'm stoked about how it all went.
But, I'm also really excited to wrap the project up. It's always so much fun seeing the end result of a couple week's of work. It's so rewarding to see the end of an assignment like this. So, I'm here in Tallinn trying to get everything organized and whipped off to editors and the client before my next project starts.
So, we kind of celebrated a bit with a going away party. We sampled some of the Tallinn nightlife. First, we went to a place that did test tubes of booze. It was a one of the many strange Tallinn nightclubs. Then, we tried to get into another one of the Tallinn nightclubs, a place called Hollywood, but they wouldn't let me in with my camera. So, we called it a night, and I turned this into a 2 day vlog.
I'm also excited that the project being done means that I can hang out a bit with my girlfriend for a bit before running off on my next travel photography assignment which is actually just days away. I've not introduced Jodie to the vlog yet, and the truth is that she'll largely not be on it as I want to keep my private an work life fairly separate at least for the time being. I will always be honest with you guys regarding my private life, but I'm also not going to disclose every detail like I did in the past.
Anyways, it's been amazing here in Tallinn, it's a city I really love, and it's also one of the most photogenic cities in the world. So, my girlfriend and I went out to shoot some images throughout the Tallinn. Photography in Tallinn is always such a treat. When the weather is behaving, it really is an easy place to photograph.
Tomorrow, the travel vlog will continue again as I make my way onto my next big assignment. Stay tuned.

So I am loving Tallinn, Estonia. I think this is actually my fifth time in Europe but this maybe my favorite city ever. It's just very medieval, very charming, really cute and the food. The feast that we had just now was amazing. That just put the city up to the very top.
So it is now nine o'clock. It is still daylight out but it is the end of our day. It's time to go catch our ferry back to Helsinki, so we are saying goodbye to Tallinn and I am very sad to be leaving. I thought it was such a great city to visit.

Kalamaja - one of the trendiest neighbourhoods in Tallinn.
New cafes, bars and galleries have transformed the former industrial complexes of the historical wooden townhouse district, making it the fastest developing area of Tallinn attracting creatives and those young at heart.
Often called the “hipsterville” of Tallinn, this once closed off Soviet border zone is conveniently located between the scenic Tallinn coast and Old Town and hides some real architectural gems.
Telliskivi is the hub of Kalamaja with its many restaurants, theatres and an indoor shopping street selling everything from organic cosmetics to Estonian design. Nearby you’ll find Estonia’s largest and coolest maritime museum Seaplane Harbour as well as the once infamous Patarei sea fortress and prison, peeking into the dark history of the past Soviet occupation.
Marzipan tale of the Old City-gallery of marzipan in Tallinn.
In fact, the useful properties of marzipan in the named pharmacy were known and made already in the early 17th century, when Arent Passer made two forms for marzipan in the form of a city coat of arms for the Tallinn Town Hall pharmacy. In 1806, Tallinn confectioner Lorenz Caviezel (Lorenz Caviezel) began purposeful production of marzipan figures.

Medieval lunch feast including salmon & rye bread at Olde Hansa restaurant in Tallinn, Estonia
We are in Tallinn, Estonia this afternoon and we have decided to stop for a Medieval feast at a restaurant that is called Olde Hansa.
As we're just about to get Medieval on you we're waiting for a fair Maiden to come take our order. And what might you be drinking over there sir? With my Medieval sized cup I have a Medieval portion of root beer inside. Oh, take a sip of that! Oh wow, that's genuine root beer. I can taste root. That's not the artificial stuff you get back in Canada. Really? I want to try some.

So if you come to this restaurant you get a drink that is called the Monk's bride. Cheers. Now let's see what this tastes like. Mmmmm. Oh, it's very sweet and concentrated. A little bit like cough syrup. Is this liquor? Is this alcohol? It must be! It smells really good. It smells like cinnamon a bit.
Over here I have ordered myself Neptune's feast and if you look down at the plate we have some grilled salmon, some smoked salmon, a little cute fish, some hummus with caviar, we have quail eggs and some delicious rye bread. So let's dig in!
Let's try some of this. It looks so good. I don't even like caviar but I'm going to eat this because it looks amazing. Oh yeah. That is some amazing garlicy hummus. I'm so happy. Save some for me!
This is a darker bread. It appears that there is some kinds of seeds and nuts in it. I'm also going to try some hummus on top. Oh, wow. Amazing isn't it? I forgot what good bread tasted like. Fresh out of the oven.
Eat the little fish! Come on! Oh, with its tail and everything. Well? It's really salty. Your favorite? No.
I feel like I should cut this down the middle. So this is a quail egg? Or maybe I should just stick it in my mouth. Pop it in - one go. A little hummus for extra flavoring. Oh, it's like white inside. It tastes like egg.
Let's see how that salmon tastes. It just melts in the mouth. If I had to eat salmon every day the rest of my life I wouldn't be complaining.
That was a delicious feast and now it is time for dessert. We are having some kind of rose pudding which has flower pedals on top. You can have a flower pedal. Is it sweet? Oh yeah. What does it taste like? It's creamy and fluffy and sugary. It's like eating cloud.
A big spoonful. It's like clotted cream with sugar. It is. It kind of reminds me of kind of a soft cheesecake filling.
