Cape Tribulation travel video guide Queensland Australia
Once you cross the Daintree River, you enter into a region that is home to the oldest rainforest on the planet.
Cape Tribulation is a small village nestled in the heart of this rainforest and is where the frontier of Queenslands' north really begins.
As you pass through the lowland and tropical rainforest make sure to take some time and explore these areas as they have excellent coastal lookouts. This area is literally where the great barrier reef meets the rainforest.
You can drive yourself or take a tour up the Bloomfield Track. This is the major coastal highway north, Most times will will need a Four Wheel Drive (4WD) vehicle to drive alongside the coast.
You can day trip to Cape Tribulation from Port Douglas and Cairns, but there are camping spots and accommodation options available for those who would like to spend a little more time exploring the area.

Cape Tribulation Australia
Presented by Vasco Petruzzi as he shares his passion for the sweet life at the Daintree Cape Tribulation coast where the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree rainforest meet, the only place on earth where two World Heritage areas exist side by side.
Whatever accommodation you are looking for, you will find it in the Daintree Rainforest — Cape Tribulation area — budget, backpacker, camp sites, bed and breakfast, farmstay, self-contained units, yoga retreat, motel or resort.
You will get a better appreciation of the local area if you plan to stay more than a day. There is so much to do, and the Daintree Rainforest is a great place to relax and unwind so stay a few days and learn to appreciate the area with local tour guides — the Daintree National Park really is an ecotourism paradise.
Most locals would agree that a visit to the Great Barrier Reef in a small group, snorkelling or diving would be a highlight. The Great Barrier Reef is very close to the coast at Cape Tribulation.
Don't miss the opportunity to go into the Daintree Rainforest with a local guide, so that you can truly appreciate the Wet Tropics World Heritage Rainforest; discover rainforest animals on a night walk; or climb into the canopy of the Daintree rainforest. To spot a crocodile in its natural habitat is a thrilling experience; or birdwatch on the Daintree River.
Another highlight would be walking and beach--combing the deserted beaches which stretch for miles along the Daintree Coast; enjoy a sunrise over the Coral Sea; paddle the coast in a sea kayak; ride a horse along a deserted beach.
Taste rare tropical fruit; watch a cassowary cross the road; and gaze at the brilliant stars away from the glare of the city. These are just a few of the experiences which await you. Just being away from civilization and your mobile phone can be a highlight for some.
GREAT BARRIER REEF
Only 45min by boat, The Great Barrier Reef is at it's closest to mainland Australia off the Daintree Coast. With a plethora of water activities, including snorkelling and diving to be done, a day trip to the reef is not to be missed. Visitors can spot turtles, dolphins, a multitude of tropical fish and even the occassional whale.
DAINTREE RAINFOREST
Consisting of the world's oldest evolving rainforest, the Daintree is where the Rainforest meets The Reef. Enjoy one of the many free walks in the area or take the oppurtunity to head along on a guided tour. During the summer months a quick dip in Mason's waterhole is a welcome relief from the heat of the day.
CAPE TRIBULATION BEACH
This is a magical stretch of white sand and rainforest located just to the North of Cape Tribulation headland. You can park in the National Park car park, walk up to the lookout and then head north along the beach for a few kilometres of peace and quiet.
MYALL BEACH
Located South of Cape Tribulation headland. You can access the beach from a small track next to PK's Jungle Village or by parking in the Dubiji Boardwalk car park and following the signs through to the beach. If you head to the northern end of Myall Beach there is a small path that leads you over the headland and onto Cape Tribulation Beach. If you head south along Myall Beach there is a small track that will take you along Masons Creek and to Masons General Store and Myall Creek Takeaway. The takeaway is home of the best burgers north of the Daintree River and also the Myall Creek Hotdog which it is rumoured that people have travelled from as far as Greenland to taste!
SOUTH NOAH BEACH
Located just south of Cape Tribulation. If you are heading north, just before Cape Tribulation there is a sign on the right hand side of the road saying Noah's Campground. This is a National Park Camping reserve, which you can park at and walk through to Noahs beach. Once on the beach you can head south and walk along the beach to Noahs Creek, which is a great spot for fishing or even Crocodile spotting.
