Whitsunday Coast Day Spas
There's nothing like a little indulgence on holidays: a massage, a foot spa, a manicure and pedicure. You could also get your hair done and have a spray tan to complete the I've just been on holidays in the tropics look.
The Whitsundays has a plethora of options to treat yourself, which leaves you with only one question, which treatment will you have done first?
Pampering comes in many forms. For some, shopping is the ultimate indulgence, and what better place than the Whitsundays to pick out a new swimsuit or some summer beachwear? For others, spending a night in a luxurious hotel or resort spa suite sipping champagne is the only way to be pampered. Others prefer the simplicity of a beachside picnic with gourmet cheese & deli goods while the sun sets over the hills. Whatever your idea of pampering is, let the beautiful backdrop of the Whitsundays provide you with inspiration.

Australia: Port Douglas to Cape Tribulation
Traveling Australia, Port Douglas to Cape Tribulation. If you're looking for a tropical getaway on your next vacation, checkout Queensland's far north coast! Situated on the fringe of the world's oldest rainforest. The Daintree stretches along a ribbon of coastline and white sandy beaches that kiss the Great Barrier Reef.
Port Douglas is a small beach town with friendly locals, great accommodations, tasty eateries and fun shopping. The town is easy to walk with most of the food, shopping and several hotels situated around the main street, Macrossan. The main grocery store is Coles in the town center, a small Food Works is also nearby. Accommodations typically cost more in this popular vacation town, so it's a good idea to shop around online for cheaper deals. We like Agoda, Booking, Trip Advisor, and Wotif.
Cape Tribulation is an awe-inspiring experience. Getting there is easy, from Port Douglas take the Cook Highway north and follow the signs to the Cape Tribulation ferry, it's $23 roundtrip. No need for a 4x4 if you stay on the main road. This region is truly where the Daintree rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef. Explore the area by taking a bush walk (there are several great walk paths and boardwalks) or relax on the white sand beaches. Cape Tribulation has a handful of accommodations but a day trip from Port Douglas is a great option and we found a full day to be a good amount of time to see the sights.
Thanks for watching!
xoxo,
Christine

89 Days - Episode 4 - Malaysia
CHAPTER ONE - Episode 4-
This travel documentary takes you on a 3 month long trip with a couple of guys (and girls, too ;) through Southeast Asia. The first half of the film shows a rather touristic point of view, and as the journey continues and the environment gets tougher, the second half has an adventurous kind of touch.
Follow them on their tracks starting in more or less developped places, and big cities such as Singapore or Malaysia, island hopping in Thailand (including the Full Moon Party), eating insects in Asia's Golden Triangle, smoking weed, an adventurous boattrip on the Mekong river in Laos, a rough bus trip in Vietnam, from the Killing Fields to the spectacular Angkor Wat temples in Cambodia in Tomb Raider style. Beaches, waterfalls, massages, and tropical surroundings...
Even after cutting out 75% of the filmed material of this roadtrip diary, the film still has 162 min. To make viewing more enjoyable and by giving it a reality show character, the whole movie has been split into 17 parts to make each a separate 10 min episode.
Don't always expect perfect camera handling, etc, remember this is a non commercial low budget film taped with a camcorder. There's some at times very sarcastic dialogues, conversations and scenes full of bull; others actually do have a meaning, but mainly the pictures speak for themselves. The entire film is in english, some parts are in German, while all non-english parts are with english subtitles.
Do enjoy all 17 episodes while this journey brings the travellers to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. May this film warm up your winter and maybe even get you into the mood for travelling.
Episodes to be released fridays and sundays right here exclusively on YouTube starting December 2009
