Iran SANATI's Unique Art collection Anthropology Museum Tehran
Rodin of Iran. A unique collection of sculptures by the late Mr Ali Akbar SANATI.
Sanati was the symbol of self-reliance who worked for the sake of advancement and sublimity. He has left about 1,000 paintings and 400 sculptures in record of his career.Ali Akbar Sanati was born in Kerman in 1916. He lost his father at an early age and was looked after by a benevolent man. Very soon he discovered that Sanati has a special talent in artistic works and sent the young Ali Akbar to Tehran to receive training at Kamal-ol Molk Art School. He learned sculpture and panting from maestros Hossien Behzad, Abolhassan Sediqi, and Ali Rokhsar and he obtained a master's degree in painting after 12 years of study. A stroke left this Iranian eternal figure and master of sculpture almost paralyzed and he lost his speech since 2003. He had been under intensive care at home by a team of physicians since then but he could not recover due to his old age. Sanati was almost 90 years old at the time of his death. According to the announcements, his funeral will be held on 5th of April and his body will be carried from the front of the Islamic Parliament of Iran or the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tehran with the presence of Iranian artists and artistic-cultural figures
He returned to his hometown where he taught 40 children in a nursery for orphans. He later set up a museum at Tehran's Toup Khaneh Square (currently known as Imam Khomeini Square) and transferred it to the then Red Lion and Sun Society (modern Red Crescent Society). The museum was inaugurated in 1946 with an exhibit which received extensive public welcome. He set up another museum at Hafez Street in Tehran in 1951 to present his own paintings. He then took several of his paintings to a museum he set up in Kerman in 1977. During the US-backed military coup to topple the nationalist government of Dr. Mohammad Mossadeq in 1953, his museum in Tehran was ransacked by rioters and some of his sculptures were destroyed. It took two years for Sanati to repair his museum and sculptures.

TRADITIONAL MUSIC FROM BOUSHEHR
Boushehr is situated far of the centre of Iran, near the south-west coast of the Persian Gulf.
This city lives at the rythm of a tradition and a culture different from the North, especially from
the region of Teheran.
The history of Boushehr is the symbol of a fishing village which has become a strategic war
area.
Down the centuries, Arabian, African, Indian, Armenian and Jewish populations integrated
the city and participated to the local trade.
The music from the city of Boushehr arose from the unique combination of Persian, Arab,
African and Indian traditions that came together centuries ago in this southern Iranian cultural
crossroad on the Persian Gulf.
This diversity results from the wealth of local traditions in which music plays a vital role in all
aspects of life: religion, work, social events, drama, music therapy and trance.
The traditional musical ensemble of Saied Shanbezadeh is available
for concerts, festivals and workshops.

Paintings of Mahmoud Farshchian, Music: Bezhad Mirkhani- Elaheye Naz
Music: Bezhad Mirkhani- Elaheye Naz. Paintings of Mahmoud Farschian. Video made by Laurentziu Ro (Romania). Behzad Mirkhani (May 13, 1969, Tehran) is a Persian guitarist and composer, best known for his works based on folk music idioms. He is a member of Iran House of Music, Irish Music Rights Organisation , and the Registry of Guitar Tutors. Since 1990, he began to compose a series of works including guitar concertos, string quartets, orchestral music and pieces for solo guitar and guitar with mixed ensemble which have received numerous performances. In the music center of Iran ministry of culture, Behzad Mirkhani's debut album, The Last Leaf, has been established as the first Iranian composition for the classical guitar 1990. His other albums have been released since then through Iranian record labels, and internationally through CD Baby, USA.
Mahmoud Farshchian (born January 24, 1930) is a master of Persian painting and miniatures. He was born in the city of Isfahan in Iran, a place famed for its art and artists, and it was here where he started to learn art, painting and sculpting.
His masterpieces have been hosted by several museums and exhibitions worldwide. He's the most modernizer of the field of miniatures, an art form which was first established in Ancient Persia and later spread to China and Turkey and other Middle eastern countries. Farshchian is the founder of his own school in Iranian Painting, which adheres to classical form while making use of new techniques to broaden the scope of Iranian painting. He has brought new life to this art form and has freed it from the symbiotic relationship it has historically had with poetry and literature, to give it an independence it had not previously enjoyed. His powerful and innovative paintings are dynamic, expansive and vibrant canvases with an appealing fusion of the traditional and the modern, which are constituents of his unique style of painting.
Master Farshchian has played a decisive role in introducing Iranian art to the international art scene. He has been invited to speak and exhibit at numerous universities and art institutes. There have been six books and countless articles published about Farshchian's works. In 2007 British-Omani designer Amr Ali used Farschian's painting The Fifth Day of Creation as the main influence for his collection presented at London Fashion Week.
