Welcome to the eighth episode of my Japan Trip 2017 vlog series.
This episode Itchy and Rodier visit Iga Ueno Castle, Itchy also spots a real Ninja in the area. The following day, they climb the mountain where the Takeda Castle Ruins reside in Asago, Hyōgo prefecture and admire the scenery whilst being the only visitors there. The next day, they look at the fully bloomed Cherry Blossoms in Osaka. This vlog also contains their last day in Osaka before heading to Hiroshima.

We were in Japan from 30th March 2017 - 4th May 2017. Expect plenty of videos! If you ever wish to visit Japan, I highly recommend getting a Japan Rail Pass. With this Rodier and I were able to travel via JR Trains & Shinkansen (Bullet Train) to a great amount of places throughout Japan as many times as we wanted with no extra cost.

Japan Travel: Scenic Spots filled with Spiritual Sites in Kumano, Wakayama 13
The Kumano area (熊野), well known for its religious history, is located around the southern tip of the Kii Peninsula which is about 100 kilometers south of Osaka. The area spans Wakayama and Mie Prefectures; however, most of the religious sites and points of interests are located in Wakayama Prefecture.
The Kumano Sanzan: Hongu Taisha, Nachi Taisha and Hayatama Taisha, are the center of this area. Pilgrims have traveled to the Kumano Sanzan utilizing traditional pilgrim trails, called Kumano Kodo, for over 1000 years. Though parts of the trail are dangerous, it is believed approaching the shrines by these old-fashioned routes is important in the religious process. Furthermore, in 2004, the Kumano Kodo was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With the title of The Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range, the designation also includes neighboring Koyasan, Yoshino and Ominesan.
This region is blessed with religious and historical value from the three shrines. The Shinto Sun Goddess' great grandson, Jimmu, came to Kumano to unify the country as Japan's first Emperor. In addition, Kumano is referred to The Land of the Dead, as it is believed Shinto spirits and family ancestors dwell here after they pass away.
Towns and cities dot the Kii Peninsula’s coastline, combining Kumano's ancient history with present day life. Towns such as Shirahama or Katsura offer its visitors relaxing hot springs bath. Others, such as Kumano City or Kushimoto feature beautiful coastal scenery for their visitors to experience.

events to expel evil spirits have been held since old times. Last week I went to pray for a Good Luck and prospering business. Yesterday I visited a Tainohata Yakuyoke Hachimangu - the oldest in Japan sacred shrine against the evil spirits - friendly called as Yakujin-sanin Tainohata by locals????
From January 18 to 20 there will be possibility to participate in an annual Yakuyoke Festival, which gathers every year a plenty of visitors who wish for the good health and cleansing from evil spirits.
Last year I didn’t go to the event and my 2018 wasn’t the luckiest year so this year I thought why not stop by at one of these events and drive evil spirits away... ???????????? for sure this is an experience you can enjoy only in Japan. * Do you believe in ghosts or bad evil spirits? •

Festiwale, mające na celu odpędzenie złych duchów odbywają się w Japonii od zawsze. W zeszłym tygodniu modliłam się o szczęście i prosperujący biznes w shintoistycznym chramie Ebisu. A wczoraj wybrałam się do do Tainohata Yakuyoke Hachimangu - najstarsza w Japonii świątynia przeciwko złym duchom - nazywana przez mieszkańców „Yakujin-san”. Od 18 do 20 stycznia można wziąć udział w dorocznym festiwalu Yakuyoke - co roku gromadzi on wielu odwiedzających, którzy życzą sobie dobrego zdrowia i oczyszczenia od złych duchów.
W zeszłym roku nie brałam udziału w festiwalu i mój rok 2018 nie był najszczęśliwszym... Dlatego w tym roku postanowiłam dmuchać na zimne i wraz z pozostałymi mieszkańcami Kobe wybrałam się do Tainohata odpędzić kilka złych duchów ????????????
