A rite at the Ise Shrines celebrating the imperial lineage’s divine ancestry by offering first fruits to Amaterasu Ōmikami on the seventeenth day of the tenth month; the harvest festival of those shrines. On the day of the festival, a ceremony of “worship from afar” (yōhai) is performed, and a rite for the imperial ancestors (shinsai no gi) is performed at the kashikodokoro at the palace. The 1933 Jingūshichō kunrei states to “take the kannamesai is the most significant rite for the divine lineage; and the most fundamental ceremony of all those performed at Ise.

KYOTO-SAN for ORCHESTRA (2015)
Each year Cosolargy International hosts Spiritual State of the World conferences. This year we were in Japan at Lake Biwa, where we held a three-day conference, gave workshops, and observed three sunrise services on the shore. In the tradition of the late Dr. Mazaru Emoto, we also performed a ceremony to cleanse the largest lake in Nihon of pollution. The change in the sun was reported on national television across the country.
In addition, we met with the Kakuichi Company founder and chairman, visited their Ancient Hotel in Asama, with geothermal and sound-healing facilities, their factory and experimental agricultural farm - where they are using our Sonations (developed in Sonatherapy) to grow crops and establish perma-cultures in arid land. In Tokyo Yukinori Matsushita and Kazu Tanaks showed us their new clinic - using Sonatherapy technolologies we have designed and that are being built by Kakuichi workers.
Other places visited included Koyasan where the Nestorian Monument describes the ancient Syrian Christians who brought the Teachings of Light to Japan in the earliest centuries, the Shinto Shrine at Ise, the Golden Temple in Kyoto, the temple of solar adept Kobo Daishi Kukai in Kyoto, among numerous other holy sites.
This was my third visit to Japan visiting with our Consociates of the Cosolargy Institute, headed by Yukinori Matsushita in Kurume. Upon our return to the U.S., Yuki requested I compose a simple march for their Community of Light in Japan. This composition, Kyoto-San, is that new selection, giving my impressions of the country, and Kyoto in particular. Almost all of the photos and video clips herein were captured on my small Canon Power Shot camera.
Our next conference is in India, February, 2016.
平安装束で「かるた始め式」 京都・八坂神社
京都市東山区の八坂神社で1月３日、平安装束姿で百人一首の手合わせをする新春恒例の「かるた始め式」があった。参拝者ら約４００人が見守るなか、全日本かるた協会近畿支部の９～２７歳の男女計１４人が、境内の能舞台で手合わせを披露した。競技かるたの実演もあり、素早い手さばきに何度も歓声があがった。
初めて和歌を詠んだとされる素戔嗚尊（すさのおのみこと）が同神社にまつられていることにちなんで毎年開かれ、今年で４９回目になる。

It was a very exciting event which hosted the top ministers from G7 member countries and several hundred other officials and diplomats.
