Metropolitan Police Tram Croydon
On Wednesday 9th November 2016 at 06:07 members of Croydon's Emergency Response Team C were dispatched to one of the most challenging incidents they will ever see in their careers.
An early morning Tram carrying 70 passengers overturned causing fifty eight people injuries and seven people tragically lost their lives on their morning commute.
Within three minutes of the first emergency call being made, members of the Metropolitan Police Emergency Response Team were on scene and working to rescue those trapped within the tram. In the pitch black and heavy rain the team work tirelessly to rescue those injured in the most tragic of circumstances.
The emotional impact on those officers who attended has been profound. On Sunday 11th June 2017, 26 members of that team will be running a 12k obstacle race in Support of Londons Air Ambulance who on the day provided life saving treatment to those most seriously injured.
Please donate to show your support for the Air Ambulance who were the only emergency service in attendance who are funded purely by charity.
£1577 is the average cost of each life saving mission by London's Air Ambulance. Please help us pay for it!

Hard Hats and Lab Coats | Siân Cleaver and Vedika Dalmia | TEDxYouth@Croydon
Do Siân and Vedika look like engineers. Siân works in the space industry as a Mission Systems Engineer and Vedika is a software developer. In this talk they challenge the preconceived ideas about what engineers should look like and encourage more women to get into the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
Vedika is a Software Developer at Bloomberg LP, developing features for their news platform. She graduated from the University of Surrey in 2012, securing a BSc, with First Class Honours, in Computer Science, a software patent, the prestigious Anita Borg Scholarship for Women in Technology, and a love for travelling.
Siân works in the space industry as a Mission Systems Engineer, designing and developing future space missions that will go on to explore our solar system. She graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Physics and Astrophysics from Durham University and is passionate about all things ‘space’.
Both Siân and Vedika are enthusiastic about promoting careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), particularly to young women. Siân is an active STEM ambassador who regularly visits schools, and Vedika is a co-organiser for Ladies Who Code London. Both are members of the Women Into Science and Engineering (WISE) Young Women’s Board.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at

Croydon cat killer strikes AGAIN… this time killing a pet rabbit and leaving its mutilated
Croydon cat killer strikes AGAIN… this time killing a pet rabbit and leaving its mutilated remains next to its child owner’s wendy house.
POLICE are investigating claims the sick Croydon cat killer has striked again - this time murdering a pet RABBIT.
In a disturbing twist, loveable bunny Teddy's mutilated body was disgustingly placed next to his little owner's toy wendy house for her to find.
Animal group Snarl, who alongside police are investigating the recent spate of animals deaths in the south east of England, believe Teddy was murdered by the Croydon cat killer.

Trains & Tones @ Salisbury - 9/11/19
In this video I visit Salisbury station located on the West of England Mainline, the Wessex Mainline and also the Romsey loop. Services here are seen from South Western Railway, Great Western Railway and freight.
Another visit to Salisbury was excellent, despite the freezing weather. Many of the clips are shaky due to the coldness. Not all trains were filmed however featuring is 150002 twice working 2O05 Westbury to Southampton Central, then 2M98 Southampton Central to Great Malvern. This unit, alongside classmate 150001, is due to transfer to another TOC in April 2020. Furthermore, 166210 + 165119 are seen working a heavily delayed 1F09 Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour, delayed due to signalling problems around Bristol. Network Rail MPV's DR98923 +DR98973 are seen working 314S Effingham Jn. C.H.S to Effingham Jn. C.H.S. Sadly, I was unable to catch the full departure due to a camcorder fault. Also, DR98924 + DR98974 are seen in the bay platform on 3S82 Totton Yard to Totton Yard - unfortunately I missed the arrival and departure of this as well, however there is a clip of it stabled.
