Maud Foster Mill, Boston, UK
Yes, sorry, it's another one from the archives. It is from Boston UK, my home town. Filmed in 1990 just after the windmill had been restored to full working order, after lying practically derelict for decades. The mill is situated alongside one of the River Witham's navigable drains, originally cut in the 15C to free the farmland of excess water which was a feature of the local fenland.
Boston has been a settlement since 645AD when St Botolph built a monastery by the river. Boston is a shortening of Botolphstown, and is where the Pilgrim Fathers sailed from first in 1607. After being arrested and held in the town's Guildhall jail, they eventually set off again in 1620 to form the first settlement of Plymouth, Mass., and later Boston, Mass.
THE TALLEST WORKING WINDMILL in UK - MAUD FOSTER Mill Boston
On a blustery day at Maud Foster Mill, 9th April 2014, I had my Panasonic GX1 with me. Entranced by the whirring grinding near violence of the mill interior, and the charming Tom Waterfield, I shot enough for this short video.
It's a great place to visit if you enjoy old working machinery coaxed into action in a wonderful building. By wind power alone!!

Windmills of Lincolnshire: Boston Windmill - Maud Foster Mill
This video documents Maud Foster Mill at Boston in Lincolnshire as it looks today. Me and my sister have had a lifelong interest in tall and interesting buildings such as windmills, and aim to continue to go round many of the windmills in the region and other counties in England.
Maud Foster Mill was built in 1819 at a cost of £1826-10s-6d and at 80ft is seven storeys high. The Mill fell into disrepair in 1948 but was restored in 1988 to full working order. Today it is open to the public at certain times and is a grade I listed building.
Filmed on my Sony Cybershot DSC-H55 digital camera on 2nd July 2015.

The Boston Navigable Drains
Bought my camcorder about 6 years ago to make boating videos, and this is one of them. Reprocessed it with a better computer, editing software and can upload in one part. Had a nice classic wooden boat, which I had to sell towards the end of the year. I managed to video a Kingfisher in flight near the end of the vid.

Boston Belle Sea Trip
Boston Belle Sea Trip, 19/08/2017
Time lapse compressing 4 hours into just over 10 minutes.
19000 images taken on board the Boston Belle, starting in the Marina, going through the Boston Grand Sluice, and then out through Boston along the River Witham. Passing the Stump, The Docks and the local Fishing Fleet. On to Cut End and past Tabs Head Buoy out into the Wash. We then turned into the River Welland where everyone had great view of the Seals before returning to Boston Marina.
On the trip we saw large flocks of Waders, Terns and many other birds.
Great company with Sally Keightley, Steve Keightley and others all enjoying the trip.

Boston Tourist DVD, Lincolnshire, UK
Boston The Original DVD from Primetime Video.
Boston is a town steeped in history. The Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America seeking religious and political freedom after a failed attempt which left them imprisoned in the town's Guildhall. Boston's magnificent buildings bear testimony to the wealth that was generated in medieval days when the port of Boston was, for a little time, more important that the port of London. The famous Boston Stump, the tallest parish church in England, towers over the fenland town and has been a beacon to travellers for over 400 years.
Now for the first time, Boston's fine buildings, history and charm have been captured on video.
Discover the town's treasures and traditions including guided tours of the Stump, Guildhall, Fydell House, Maud Foster Windmill and the renowned outdoor market.
Also featured are the town's colourful celebrations including the 450th Anniversary, Town Carnival, Boston Show and Royal Visits. A detailed look at the town today combines with impressive sunsets, the area's wildlife and beautiful views of the town, which reveals 'Boston - The Original'.
