Helicopter Ride Maui and Molokai
We had a blast during our vacation in Maui. The beauty you see from a helicopter is just breathtaking. We rode the Maverick Helicopters during our adventure and I recommend them 100%.
Molokai Voyage, A Maui Helicopter Tour
Come and see two of Hawaii’s most beautiful islands from an unparalleled vantage point. The Molokai Voyage ( one of Maverick's most popular Maui helicopter tours, will take you on a 50-minute adventure over some of Maui’s and Molokai’s most beautiful features.
See Molokai and Maui Like Never Before
From the air, you’ll be able to see parts of both Maui and Molokai, virtually inaccessible via any other means.
On Molokai, you’ll enjoy beautiful vistas of the island’s lush, green canyons and exquisite views of the canyon’s long, cascading waterfalls. Fly along Molokai’s cliffs that look out over the expansive ocean -- the tallest sea cliffs in the world. See all shades of blues when you look at Molokai’s ancient fish ponds.
As you cross the Pailolo Channel, you’ll have an opportunity to see just how large the Pacific Ocean is, and how blue its waters can be. Make sure to note Elephant Rock, an aptly named formation between Maui and Molokai.
On Maui, you’ll pass over the island’s western half, providing an up-close look at the island’s rich mountainsides, rainforest-covered lava fields. Plants thrive in the lava’s rich soil and the mountain’s tropical climate. You'll be amazed with the green vegetation grown from a lava field. Peer into the distance and see Haleakala, the dormant volcano, and on a clear day, the Wall of Tears.
Take a Maui Helicopter Tour
If your dream is to see an island in its unforgettable glory, take in Maui’s and Molokai’s rich vegetation and dramatic geography from the air. No other experience will give you the same breathtaking view or show you so much of the islands. Your helicopter pilot will point out all of the islands’ features you pass and answer any questions you have. They’re with you not just to fly you around the islands, but to ensure you appreciate all you see on our Maui helicopter tour, Molokai Voyage. Book online ( or call 800-978-0226

Air Maui Helicopter Tour ( West Maui and Molokai)
This video does it no justice. Our pilot (Troy) was awesome and didn’t talk too much which allowed us to take in the views. Troy has created a playlist you listen to the whole flight which made for an even better experience. Highly recommend this if you go to Hawaii.
Couldn’t use any of his songs due to copy write.

Fear is always present in a 50-foot wave. Fear is the best way of managing the risk of paddling for a huge wave face, which doesn't tell you what is going to happen and how it is going to break.
The pioneers of big wave surfing started to eye impossible killer rides in the 1940's. In the 1960's, waves like Pipeline and Waimea increased the popularity of paddling into new wave heights. Going over the falls was the daily menu.
Laird Hamilton is the first professional big wave surfer. The waterman from Maui defies fast, hollow and high waves with a full-time training and previous preparation. Hamilton, the father of tow-in surfing, takes on the entire big wave spots of the Hawaiian Islands, in helicopter style.
Born in Kahului, Maui, Aikau was the third child of Solomon and Henrietta Aikau. He was a descendant of Hewahewa, the kahuna nui (high priest) of King Kamehameha I and his successor Kamehameha II.Aikau first learned how to surf at Kahului Harbor on its shorebreak. He moved to Oʻahu with his family in 1959, and at the age of 16 left school and started working at the Dole pineapple cannery; The paycheck allowed Aikau to buy his first surfboard. In 1968, he became the first lifeguard hired by the City & County of Honolulu to work on the North Shore. The City & County of Honolulu gave Aikau the task of covering all of the beaches between Sunset and Haleiwa. Not one life was lost while he served as lifeguard of Waimea Bay, as he braved waves that often reached 30 feet (9.1 m) high or more.In 1971, Aikau was named Lifeguard of the Year.
he saved over 500 people and became famous for surfing the big Hawaiian surf, Eddie Would Go
Duke Paoa Kahinu Mokoe Hulikohola Kahanamoku (August 24, 1890 – January 22, 1968) was a Native Hawaiian competition swimmer who popularized the ancient Hawaiian sport of surfing. He was born towards the end of the Kingdom of Hawaii, just before the overthrow, living into statehood as a United States citizen. He was a five-time Olympic medalist in swimming. Greg Noll (born February 11, 1937), nicknamed Da Bull by Phil Edwards in reference to his physique and way of charging down the face of a wave,is an American pioneer of big wave surfing and is also acknowledged as a prominent longboard shaper. Noll was a member of a US lifeguard team that introduced malibu boards to Australia around the time of the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games. Noll also produced a legendary series of Search for Surf movies.

HAWAII: Maui Travel Guide 2019 | Travel with Me
Travel with me! Hey there, sharing this guide for things to do on vacation in super pretty, Maui. I have compiled a list of things to do, eat and sleep. Some of the things that are most memorable about my Maui vacation was the bamboo forest (Pipiwai Trail), a gorgeous banyan tree, the black sand beach at wai'anapanapa state park, the road to hana, passion fruit, fresh ponds for swimming and this list goes on!
I hope you've found this vacation guide helpful!
Have you ever been to the island of Hawaii? If so where?

America The Beautiful.
One of my most memorable thoughts about Maui is its breathtaking beauty.
Gorgeous beaches of all colors, red sand, black sand, white sand and water so blue it looked like a dream against its lush, green landscape. Eating fresh passion fruit for the first time is also something I will never forget. Until that trip I had never eaten passion fruit, I had only ever had candy or drinks that tried to mimic its incredible flavor. I did a lot of hiking in Maui, so being able to stop and pick a fresh piece of passion fruit along the way was amazing. There were also so many beautiful, fresh ponds to swim in and to top that off, there were fresh awahpui plants everywhere! If you’re unfamiliar with awapui, it is at ginger plant. If you squeeze it its sap can be used as a natural, gentle, shampoo and body soap. It was an ingredient that was featured and raved about in a Paul Mitchell hair product, I believe it is still a very highly rated product of his. Anyway, it was all the rave back then, so being able to just pick an awapui flower and wash my hair and skin as I swam made me feel so at one with mother earth and you couldn’t tell me nothin! Heaven.
One of my favorite hikes, a MUST DO, was the Pipiwai Trail and getting to see a banyan tree for the first time and it was enormous! it is as tall and wide or bigger than a house. It is simply majestic and you have to see it if you have the chance. It was wild to learn that it is a ficus plant and in mainland U.S. they only grow as big as a shrub, but in Maui they grow to be so HUGE! If you keep going along this trail, for about a mile, you will end up at a dreamy bamboo forest that extends almost 2 miles! If you feel like hiking that 2 miles you will be rewarded with a jaw dropping experience with a 400ft, Waimoku Falls. So bring great hiking shoes, water, repellent and respect all posted signs (very slippery in some parts and, during rains, you could experience flash floods in others. ????Be safe and STAY ON TRAILS. Flash Floods and falling rocks can be fatal).
????It is customary to remove your shoes before entering someone’s home.
????????????????Repect all posted signs????????????
