Lakefront Airbnb - Kitchen With A View! Lake Atitlan, San Pedro Guatemala
Discover a great place to stay in an airbnb right on the lakefront with an open-air kitchen with a great view! In Guatemala, we enjoyed spectacular sunrise views over Lake Atitlan and its active volcanoes right outside of San Pedro La Laguna, a beautiful village on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
San Pedro is a small village at the foot of a massive volcano and the most popular of the resorts on Lake Atitlan. We stayed at Casa Kawoq, a lake side AirBnB with stunning views of both the lake and its surrounding mountains.
One of our favourite adventures in all of Guatemala was the Indian Nose hike, with panomaric views of Lake Atitlan at sunrise. It is a steep but short 45 minute hike up a small mountain, in the pitch black to get there before sunrise. Detailed info on how to DIY the Indian Nose hike, which leaves from the village of Santa Clara:

Today we head to Lake Atitlan one of the most beautiful lakes in the world! It took us 3 hours to drive from Guatemala City to Lake Atitlan. On the way we passed through Solola and hopped on a quick boat ride from Panajachel to San Juan La Laguna.
San Juan La Laguna is famous for its painters, coffee and it's maya textiles. We first stopped at Cafe San Juan to drink a few different coffee roast. Maya coffee in San Juan La Laguna is unreal!
Then we made our way through the town admiring the murals and galleries. We saw a vendor selling some incredible Guatemalan snow cones and I had to try it. They put roasted corn and lime mixed with a few other flavors and its so good!
Lastly we stopped at Casa Flor Ixcaco to see how these Maya women weave these beautiful textiles. From scarfs, to t-shirts to even some incredible baby shoes. A must visit and you have to buy!!
Next time you head to Guatemala I recommend working with my friends at A La Carta Tours:

AromaVentures: Antigua, Guatemala
In episode 2 of AromaVentures, the journey has travelled from the heart of Oaxaca's capital into the jungles of Guatemala outside Antigua. Travels and kind souls brought us to a special place over looking the valley called, Earth Lodge.
After learning about the story of the Earth Lodge, we felt connected on many levels. Young travelers who fall in love with a beautiful region, then try to sustain life in that place. AromaVentures was in the infancy state legitimizing its own passion.
Our time living high in these hills also led to the introduction to Catalina, the head cook of the Earth Lodge. After talking at great length with her, we accompanied her to the market for ingredients and then took great note while she taught Chef Vagabundus local recipes.
It's with that experience that we collected new techniques to be shared with our subscribing viewers using Masa Harina (a.k.a. corn dough flour). The four recipes we are showing you are: Pepian Stew, Fresh Corn Tortilas, Sweet Vegetable Tamales, and Braised Beef with Cheese Tamales.
Together, we now can share the our authentic findings of Guatemala using all five human senses in an engaging entertainment platform. AromaVentures is excited to introduce you to life in El Hato (the village) outside of Antigua!

All footage is original and shot directly by the Vagabundus team ourselves.
The opening credits are musical benefited thanks to a sample from Run the Jewels by Run the Jewels.
