Happy Thanksgiving from The Mayflower Ship in Plymouth, Massachusetts
Happy Thanksgiving holiday season from the Mayflower II 17th-century 1620 Pilgrim ship in Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA
The Mayflower was the ship that in 1620 transported mostly English Puritans and Separatists, collectively known today as the Pilgrims, from Plymouth England to the New World. There were 102 passengers and the crew is estimated to be approximately 30 but the exact number is unknown. This voyage has become an iconic story in some of the earliest annals of American history, with its story of death and of survival in the harsh New World winter environment. The culmination of the voyage in the signing of the Mayflower Compact is an event which established a rudimentary form of democracy, with each member contributing to the welfare of the community.

Over a hundred travelers embarked on the voyage of the Mayflower in September 1620. Less than one third were Separatists. The rest were immigrants, adventurers, and speculators. Revised: Today, July 1st, 2015, I have been retired for less then 23 hours. My first retirement drink will be a the Pub this afternoon. Hey guys, save me a seat.
Massachusetts : Mayflower II & Plimoth Plantation
