Wellfleet is a town in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States, and is located halfway between the tip and elbow of Cape Cod. The town had a population of 2,750 at the 2010 census,[1] which swells nearly sixfold during the summer. A total of 70% of the town's land area is in protection, and nearly half of it is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Wellfleet is famous for its eponymous oysters, which are celebrated in the annual October Wellfleet OysterFest.

Marconi Beach. Wellfleet-Cape Cod, MA
One of the most pristine beaches on the Cape. It faces the Atlantic and was a picture perfect day. People were sunbathing, swimming, and just hanging out. Occasionally, sea lions are known to pop their heads out in the water but didn't see any that particular day. For history buffs, this place was named after Guglielmo Marconi who did all those radio wave experiments right up the hill from where this was filmed. Also, the site of where the Pirate ship Whydah wrecked in 1717. Shot on my iPhone.

In My Footsteps: Cape Cod - Bound Brook Island
The 14th video in the In My Footsteps: Cape Cod series features one of the most secluded and beautiful spots on the Cape. Bound Brook Island Beach in Wellfleet is tucked more than a mile down a winding narrow dirt road. It is home to one of the most magnificent sunsets you will see, atop a seventy-foot hill. Difficult to get to but well worth the effort. This place and dozens more are featured in my first book In My Footsteps: A Cape Cod Travel Guide available in stores and online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Schiffer Books, and Christopher Setterlund.com.
Drone on Cape Cod
We took the drone to the Sandwich boardwalk and Sandy Neck Beach to get some aerial footage. The colors haven't quite turned yet but the river veins and white dunes certainly made for some cool shots!
