World X Series Japan 2018 | Tokyo - Fuji Speedway - Odawara - Mazda Turnpike - Osaka

2 days of great driving roads, an afternoon at Fuji Speedway, great people, and most importantly, great cars.
The World X Series Japan started at the Tokyo Hilton Hotel in Shinjuku and headed through Shibuya and it's infamous scramble crossing before joing the Tomei Express way to Fuji Speedway.
Drivers had a competitive afternoon on track before heading to the first nights dinner and drinks at the Odawara Hilton Hotel.
Day 2 World X'ers headed south to Osaka after a great morning driving through the Hakone region and driving the Mazda Turnpike. The roads down to Osaka were nothing short of exceptional, with tunnels and great scenery all the way to the finish line at Osaka's Hilton Hotel.

Mazda Sky Lounge at Hakone - マツダスカイラウンジ箱根
This is one of my favourite places in Hakone. It is called Mazda Sky Lounge, and it is located over a hill which can be reached from Odawara by taking the Mazda Turn Pike road.
It is a nice place to go by motorcycle, or by car, if you want to meet other people riding motorcycles.
I definitely recommend this place to everyone who live in Tokyo and are riding a motorcycle or have a car.
When I arrived there on 19th August, there was a riding event sponsored by Aprilia, Moto Guzzy, MV Agusta.

Doing a track day in Japan - Fuji Speedway with Audi Team Hitotsuyarna
After Tokyo Auto Salon we were invited by our friends at Audi Team Hitotsuyarna to attend a track day with them, where they were testing their RS3 LMS and R8 LMS racecars.
They offered us a chance to drive their A1 out on the Fuji Speedway circuit, and we weren't going to turn down an offer like that!
It was a great chance to see how the Japanese do a track day, with yet more exposure to modified cars, this time out on track rather than in a show hall. It's definitely got us thinking of more track time this year, but the question is, which car?

本当は芦ノ湖スカイライン＆箱根スカイライン走行を撮影したかったのですがGoProバッテリー切れ！(＠_＠;)マジか！！！

箱根ターンパイクは2017年8月1日、道路名称と施設名称を変更したと発表した！
箱根ターンパイクは、神奈川県小田原市から箱根町を経由して湯河原町に至る約16kmの観光有料道路。2014年8月1日からはマツダがネーミングライツを取得して、道路名称は「マツダ ターンパイク箱根」となっていました！
8月1日からの新名称は、道路名称「箱根ターンパイク」、施設名称「大観山スカイラウンジ」となる。路線名称や料金所名称、通行料金の変更はありません!

Hakone Turnpike announced on August 1, 2017, changed the name of the road and facility name!
Hakone Turnpike is a tourist toll road about 16 km from Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, to Yugawara Town via Hakone Town. Mazda acquired naming rights from August 1, 2014, and the road name was Mazda Turnpike Hakone!
The new name from August 1 is the road name Hakone Turnpike and the facility name Okiyama Sky Lounge. There is no change in route name, tollgate name, toll fee!
