Lake Whitney State Park 2017 Review Camping At Lake Whitney State Park
Our first official RV adventure for 2017 was a weekend spent camping at Lake Whitney State Park. While camped at Lake Whitney State Park we were set up in the Sunset Ridge camping loop which is in my humble opinion the very best place to camp at Lake Whitney State Park.
I had a “run in” with a park official who attempted to ban my use of my mobility scooter. BB and I were still able to tour the whole of Lake Whitney State Park on the scooter.

SCENIC Drive Around Whitney, TEXAS with Mom and Dad
This is a scenic drive around Whitney and Cleburne, Texas with my mom and dad. There were a lot of detour signs because of all the rain they have recently and the lakes all had very high levels of water.

GOLIAD STATE PARK CAMPING ADVENTURE
I made the mistake of not making a reservation to Bastrop state park so we went on a detour to Lockhart state park. Unfortunately they are fully booked too. I made some calls to nearby state parks and Goliad has 5 spots left. Blessing in disguise, I love the place the first time I set foot in it. This place is full of history and has an ambience that is different from the other state parks that we went to.
