Rhonda Vincent in McKinney Texas 20160123
Extracts from the Rhonda Vincent and the Rage concert in the Courtroom Theater at the McKinney Performing Arts Center in historic McKinney, Texas, January 23, 2016. Videoing from the front row was great except for making it impossible to get Hunter and Aaron both in the same frame, and not having a second camera recording a static view of the stage left me not having a way to cover my frantic panning in a few places (which is rather dizzying due to the short distance between my lens and the performers). Anyway, it was a pleasure being there, and an honor to present this compilation of clips to those who missed it, as well as for a delightful review for those of us who were there. It was an unusual concert, with Rhonda's daughter (Hunter's wife) Sally doing a great job of carrying vocals for Rhonda, who was suffering with Streptococcal infection. Rhonda's skilled mandolin playing exhibited full recovery from recent carpal tunnel surgery.

McKinney, Texas is Unique by Nature
Located on the northeastern corner of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and the county seat of Collin County, McKinney has many unique assets including a rolling terrain and vibrant historic downtown centered around the former Collin County Courthouse – now the McKinney Performing Arts Center. The McKinney National Airport is a full service general aviation airport and many of the largest and most active corporate flight departments in the region call it home.
With its jurisdictional boundaries set, McKinney has abundant open land to its northwest and the city’s population is expected to climb to 350,000 at build out. During this period of incredible growth and prosperity, McKinney has maintained the appeal for its residents by investing in parks, open space and other amenities. Even still, McKinney’s historic downtown remains one of the city’s crown jewels, as is home to many community events, thriving local businesses and restaurants.
McKinney is a community of diverse residential neighborhoods. From stately homes in the Historic District to magnificent homes in Stonebridge Ranch, choices abound for homebuyers, yet this adds to the sense of community rather than detracts from it.
Despite its swift growth, McKinney still feels like a small town – clearly the formula for its popularity. While fiscally conservative, diversity is valued in McKinney and reflected in the makeup of the community. Numerous community events provide opportunities for residents and visitors alike to socialize and enjoy McKinney.

NTPA — A Special Place (Project Dallas)
This is a special place.
For 25 years, North Texas Performing Arts — including the already popular Plano Children’s Theatre, Frisco Youth Theatre, and McKinney Youth Theatre — has been serving children, families, and the community by providing arts opportunities to kids ages 3-18 through education, entertainment, special needs programming, and collaboration with area charities. Countless lives have been touched through the programs of this exceptional non-profit organization.
As Dallas parents who have trekked countless miles to support our children’s involvement with North Texas Performing Arts in neighboring cities, we’ve seen firsthand the life-changing impact theatre can have on kids. We’ve seen their personalities blossom, their confidence soar, their passion ignite, their friendships expand, and their faces beam. That’s why we’re passionately pursuing our dream of extending programming to Dallas.
