DJI Mavic Pro Drone Video of McRae Point Provincial Park at Lake Simcoe near Orillia, Ontario
We had a lot of fun time with friends while camping in McRae Point Provincial Park near Orillia. I took my DJI Mavic Pro Drone and went in the morning to beach for a walk. This footage was captured by myself only.
I am planning to make many more videos in future capturing nature in Ontario. I am new therefore, didn't take chances with flying drone in the water.
McRae is at Lake Simcoe.
Lake Simcoe is a lake in Southern Ontario, Canada, the fourth-largest lake wholly in the province, after Lake Nipigon, Lac Seul, and Lake Nipissing.[6] At the time of the first European contact in the 17th century the lake was called Ouentironk (Beautiful Water) by the Wyandot (Huron) people. It was also known as Lake Toronto until it was renamed by John Graves Simcoe, the first Lieutenant-Governor of Upper Canada, in memory of his father, Captain John Simcoe, Royal Navy.
The lake is bordered by Simcoe County, Durham Region, and York Region. The city of Barrie is located on Kempenfelt Bay, and Orillia is located at the entrance to Lake Couchiching. The watershed draining into the lake contains a population of roughly half a million people, including the northern portion of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
The town of Georgina lies along the entire south shore of Lake Simcoe and consists of smaller residential towns and communities, including Keswick on Cook's Bay, Sutton, Jackson's Point, Pefferlaw, and Udora.
The town of Innisfil occupies the western shore south of Barrie and north of Bradford.

Spring at McRae Point Provincial Park (Orillia, ON - May, 2015)
McRae Point Provincial Park, just east of Orillia, offers incredible views of the northern portion of Lake Simcoe and the surrounding area. It was very windy on my visit, which made for some crashing waves along the shoreline, as well as choppy water for the ducks and geese. The landscape was very green by that point, while many birds could be heard and seen. Robins were among the easiest to spot, though.
This video was shot in mid-May, 2015.
