Mount Revelstoke | Meadows in the Sky Parkway
Mount Revelstoke can be accessed via the Meadows in the Sky Parkway. We visited this beautiful wildflower mountaintop in 2019 after staying in the town of Revelstoke at the end of our Canadian Rockies trip. While it was an afterthought to go here after our time in the Rockies, we ended up loving it on this hike!

Mount Revelstoke and the Meadows in the Sky Parkway 2013
What a fantastic, easy hike Mount Revelstoke was. We stayed in a beautiful log cabin at Glacier House Resort, which allowed us to get to the base of the mountain in good time. The drive up the mountain has 16 switch backs with several lookouts over the valley floor. Nearing the top is a parking lot where the shuttle bus will pick you up and take you another kilometer to the beginning of the hike. This hike reminded me of one we did at Manning Park. The flower show is fantastic. We'll be back God willing.
Meadows in the Sky Parkway to reopen July 21.m4v
The Meadows in the Sky Parkway at Mount Revelstoke National Park has been closed all summer due to long-lasting snow and, for the last two weeks, damagfe to the roadway caused by this spring and summer's runoff. Now it has been repaired and will open on July 21 all the way to the Balsam Lake parking lot below the summit. Parks Canada's Visitor Services Manager Rick Reynolds explains.

Glacier & Revelstoke - Canada's National Parks
A short tour of some beautiful scenery in Canada's Glacier Park and Mount Revelstoke Park. Each park is quite mountainous with opportunities for hiking and sight seeing. Revelstoke is known for its meandering 16+ mile drive that rises nearly a mile in elevation and reaches a mountain top meadow (Meadows in the Sky) that is filled with wildflowers during the right time of the year. Glacier Park scenes include the Rock Garden, the Hemlock Grove, and various scenic places. The Revelstoke scenes were all viewed at Meadows in the Sky.

Mt. Revelstoke National Park - Meadow in the Sky - 2016
Mount Revelstoke National Park is located adjacent to the city of Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada. The park is relatively small for a national park, covering 260 km2 (100 sq mi). It is located in the Selkirk Mountains and was founded in 1914. Approximately 600,000 visitors enter Mount Revelstoke and nearby Glacier National Park each year.
The Meadows-in-the-Sky Parkway is a paved mountain road open during the snow free months. The parkway begins in the rainforests of the park’s southwest corner, winds upward through the sub-alpine forests and ends in the rolling sub-alpine wildflower meadows. The Monashee Mountains rise to the west, with the Selkirk range to the east.
