A Paddle & Pipe: On the Headwaters of the Mecan River
A solo canoe paddle in a vintage Sawyer Summersong among the glacial kettles and springs of the Mecan River headwaters. Rambles about the headwaters, wildlife sightings, immune responses, and connubial felicity while enjoying a bowl of LEO pipe tobacco from 2012 in a CP Germany red prince pipe.
Some brief shots of one of my bent shaft paddles made of Sitka Spruce, Western Red Cedar and Redwood lumber scraps.
