The Buck Stops Here: The National Minorities Commission has written to the Andhra Pradesh government that Muslim youth wrongly accused after the 2007 bomb blasts in Hyderabad should be compensated, and much more critically, it has recommended that the money should come from the salary of erring police officials, against who they say legal action should be initiated.
History of Makkah Masjid - Hyderabad Shaan
Makkah Masjid, is one of the oldest mosques in Hyderabad in India, And it is one of the largest Mosques in India. Makkah Masjid is a listed heritage building in the old city of Hyderabad, close to the historic landmarks of Chowmahalla Palace, Laad Bazaar, and Charminar. Makkah Masjid was built during the reign of Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the 5th Qutb Shahi Sultan of Golconda. The three arched facades have been carved from a single piece of granite, which took five years to quarry. More than 8,000 workers were employed to build the mosque. Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah personally laid the foundation stone. The construction was later completed by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb after conquering Hyderabad. On 18 May 2007, a bomb exploded inside the Makkah Masjid at the time of Friday prayers, killing at least thirteen people and injuring dozens.

Verdict On Mecca Masjid Bomb Blast Case Today
A special NIA court in Hyderabad is expected to pronounce its judgement today in the case related to the 2007 Mecca Masjid blast which claimed nine lives. The fourth additional metropolitan sessions-cum-special court for NIA cases had concluded the trial and last week posted the case to April 16 for judgement.

Master Stroke: 5 acquitted in 2007 Mecca Masjid blast, know all about the case
A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court at Nampally on Monday acquitted all accused in the Mecca Masjid blast case.The court took the decision due to lack of evidence provided by the NIA against the accused.The blast which took place on May 18, 2007 at the Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad during Friday prayers had killed eight people and left 58 injured. It was allegedly carried out by a group of right-wing terrorists.
