Sibenik (Croatia) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Sibenik in Croatia.
On Croatia’s Mediterranean-like coast, one of Dalmatia’s most beautiful cities is situated within a sheltered bay, the mediaeval city of Šibenik. Sveti Jakov, the Holy Jakob Cathedral, was its architectural masterpiece and today the most important sacred Renaissance building in Dalmatia. The oldest of the city’s three castle complexes has a magnificent view across the red tiled roofs of the old town. Where today a cemetery occupies this strategic location, this was once the defensive centre of the city until the fortress that was located here was destroyed by lightning. From 1797 to 1918 Šibenik was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, interrupted by a short period of French occupation. Next, the Second World War, and then numerous warring factions. Outside the remains of the double city walls and a Franciscan monastery church, is a small monastery garden, a tranquil place whose splendour captivates and reminds those who come here of the city’s long and dramatic history. Today it is a splendid mirror that reflects the city’s dramatic and colourful past.

Croatia Full of well-being – Spa
Croatia, a country of a special energy and healthy living!
Croatia is already quite well known as a country of special beauty, a moderate climate, a rich and interesting past which stretches back to ancient times, of tasty and healthy food and intriguing wines.
The wonderful blend of the azure sea with its more than a thousand islands and islets, as well as the green interior from where ancient and mediaeval walls and picturesque castles and manor houses emerge, win over many visitors at the first glance. In every corner many civilisations and cultures intertwine creating a wonderful harmony and a spirit of timelessness with the heritage which they have left behind. All of this together also gives Croatia a new dimension – a dimension of a country of a distinctive energy and a healthy life.
Nature itself has already opened the way, particularly in the coastal area, with natural aromatherapies whose beneficial effect is felt during a walk along the trails of medicinal plants, of which the scents of lavender and rosemary often dominate, or beneath cypress trees in a stimulating blend of Mediterranean vegetation, extraordinary clean air and mild climate.
One can enjoy Croatia in the sea, coast and interesting interior with its rich forests and untouched regions swimming, sailing, hiking, walking, running, cycling, as well as by spiritually and mentally relaxing at thermal springs which quality-wise are amongst the best on Europe.
The long tradition in the field of medical science is opening up the way for the solving more demanding health problems.
In short, Croatia is a unique oasis of healthy living where one lives, breathes, eats and sleeps healthily!

Costa D' Amalfi (Italy) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Costa D'Amalfi in Italy.
Costa D’Amalfi is the name of a forty kilometre long coastal landscape in southern Italy... that is framed by the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Lattari Mountains. Sorrento is capital of a vast bay, with the mansions and grand hotels of the last century that. extend on a cliff above the sea, a very popular location at the southern end of the Gulf of Naples. The city’s secrets lie hidden in numerous cloisters, gardens and courtyards and also within the footsteps of European history. Between Sorrento and Vietri Sul Mare the coastal road winds its way along mountain slopes, a dream route of both sea and sky. The small village of Praiano exudes much of the atmosphere of bygone times, its buildings having been built on the craggy cliffs of Capo Sottile. High above the coast is Ravello that in the ninth century belonged to the League of Cities of the Amalfi Republic and served as a defence against the Normans. It boasted twelve churches plus various convents and palaces in mediaeval, Moorish architecture that highlighted a glorious era of luxury and wealth. Thankfully, for several generations the Costa D’amalfi has further developed into a magnificent landscape with English garden architecture, Greco-Roman elements and Arabian-Mediterranean flair.

Stećci
Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written
language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through
audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio
while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using
a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Stećak (Cyrillic: Стећак, [stetɕak]; plural: Stećci, Стећци, [stetɕtsi]) is the name for monumental medieval tombstones that lie scattered across Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the border parts of Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia. An estimated 60,000 are found within the borders of modern Bosnia and Herzegovina and the rest of 10,000 are found in what are today Croatia (4,400), Montenegro (3,500), and Serbia (2,100), at more than 3,300 odd sites with over 90% in poor condition.Appearing in the mid 12th century, with the first phase in the 13th century, the tombstones reached their peak in the 14th and 15th century, before disappearing during the Ottoman occupation in the very early 16th century. They were a common tradition amongst Bosnian, Catholic and Orthodox Church followers alike, and are often related to the autochthonous Vlach population, however the original ethnic and religious affiliation is still undetermined. The epitaphs on them are mostly written in extinct Bosnian Cyrillic alphabet. The one of largest collection of these tombstones is named Radimlja, west of Stolac in Bosnia and Herzegovina.Stećci were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2016. It includes a selection of 4,000 stećci at 28 necropolises – of which 22 from Bosnia and Herzegovina, two from Croatia, three from Montenegro, and three from Serbia.
