a day in tarragona
Last weekend I went to Tarragona for another day trip. I fell in love with their cathedral.
I took the train from Barcelona Sants which was 6,45€ one way and it took 1 hour and 10 minutes. It was pretty cheap but there is no assigned seat number and many people travel standing up which was a shock to me. I never seen such a thing before. So I suggest either buying bus tickets or buying train tickets from Barcelona, Passeig de Gracia because I suppose that is the first stop of the train so you can sit down.
Tarragona Cathedral became one of my favourite places of all time. The normal ticket was 5€ and the student ticket was 4€. I have spent a little over 3 hours there. I wanted to see all the details and stay there for a long time. Also the garden of the cathedral was amazing too.
I also went to four main Roman sites in the city. The tickets for all four of them was 7,4€ and as a student I paid 3,65€. You have to pay with credit card if you purchase the ticket at the sites but you can purchase the ticket by cash from tourist information centers, which is what I did.
Here are the places from the video:
▫︎ Tarragona Cathedral
▫︎ Circ Roma
▫︎ Passeig Arqueologic
▫︎ Plaça del Sedassos
▫︎ Roman Forum
▫︎ Castellers Monument
▫︎ Amphitheater
▫︎ La Rambla
▫︎ Mediterranean Balcony

Tarragona
Tarragona 'the Balcony of the Mediterranean' is, owing to the Romans, arguably the most elegant city of the Iberian peninsula. Just like in Barcelona, Tarragona's main promenades are called 'Rambla', where you can see the beautiful modernista buildings. Tarragona also has a beautiful beach which you can admire from the clifftop 'Balco del Mediterrani'. This balcony divides the city into an old and new part.
The Romans called it Tarraco and the huge part of Hispania they conquered was called Tarraconensis. The Roman walls surrounding the Old Town were built on even older huge stones that had been placed there to fortify the hilltop town long before the Romans arrived
These days is is a thriving city, centered around the elegant Rambla Nova and expanding away from the sea into uninteresting suburban zones of apartment blocks

At that time, women wearing colorful clothes and flowers in their hair pass. Everyone is dressed up and even a man is decorating flowers. When I looked closely, they all dressed in similar clothes. The earrings and frills decorated with polka dots are representative of Spain. These are the festivals in Andalusia. I can only see it in southern Spain. Grandma is no exception. It is said to be a festival of Malaga once a year. Ikot is called Biss Nagara, and it is a flower of Malaga. Take the scent once. It is a flower that symbolizes Malaga. This is the flower of Malaga. I only see it once a year. We have to wait until next year. I have to wait until next year so I have to enjoy my best for 9 days of festivals. Flowers and polka dots are the basic dress codes, but they are decorating themselves. Those who filled the streets from daylight are full of excitement. Throughout the streets, people who naturally leave their bodies to music. We take on the festival as much as possible. As one part of the festival is over, a sweeping mob that took up the police has appeared, and massive street cleaning begins. People who are demonstrating on one side of the festival are also noticeable. It is a protest against animal cruelty. What we want is a bloodless festival. I want a festival without animal cruelty. The reason for the demonstration is that six bullfights are being slaughtered per day for 8 to 9 days. That's also true when there are no bullfights. We think this is part of the protest against slaughter. I hope the diversity of people's thoughts is a respectable world. The festival continues even in the hot weather of 39 degrees. The streets of Malaga heat up quickly. The heat of the festival is cooling the heat. It is a heat string. Okay, that's perfect. I think this festival is the only festival to really enjoy, not to show off. Everyone enjoys being in a state of unadorned beauty. That's what I enjoy right now and I can feel it in my heart.
