Spiritual tour to Chittorgarh Fort & Meera Bai Temple ll Unit Tours ll Eternal Path BGSM
During Swamiji's visit to Chittorgarh, he took all the Satsangis to the Meera Temple situated near the Chittor Fort. The temple is dedicated to the 16th century Bhakti saint Meera Bai who was an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna. Swamiji urged us to take inspiration from Meera Bai who left all worldly opulence and immersed in the ocean of devotion to Giridhar-Gopal and attained the infinite eternal bliss. Swamiji filled the entire atmosphere with the divine name of Radha Rani which echoed in the Chittor Fort.

Meera Bai Temple Chittorgarh

Meera temple Medta -
Meera temple Medta -

Kumbha Shyam Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, who is worshipped here as Varaha (His boar incarnation). The shrine was constructed by Maharana Sangram Singh I, upon special request of his daughter-in-law, Meera. It is located near the Kumbha Temple inside the Chittorgarh Fort. The architecture of the temple resembles that of Kalika Mata Temple, also located in Chittorgarh. The beautiful shrine possesses a pyramidal tower, and a tall roof, while the floor has footprints of Meera's Guru, Saint Ravidas of Varanasi. Walls of the temple have beautiful images of several Gods and Goddesses. Devotees throng the place, owing to its serene atmosphere, religious significance, as well as the legends associated with it.
Meera mandir of chittorgarh fort is very famous temple in Rajasthan. The temple is dedicated to the Rajput princess Meera, famously known as Meera Bai who was an ardent devotee of Krishna and a mystic poet. Many legends and folklore tell the stories of the devotion and valour of this 16th-century Rajput princess who went on to become a renowned saint of India. The devotional poems written by Meera dedicated to Krishna are still talked about and studied by linguists and scholars. Popular legends about Meera Bai and her devotion narrate how blessed she was and how unshakable her faith and devotion was when she miraculously survived even after drinking a glass of poison sent by her in-laws, as they felt Meera's beliefs and behaviour were against religious and social conventions, which was especially unacceptable in a royal family.
