Taking county road 162 from Meishan 梅山 up to Taiping 太平, at Meishan Township, Chiayi County, Taiwan, Republic of China.
The road is winding up the hills with 36 bends to an elevation of 1000 MASL providing outlooks to the western plain (on a clear day).

Taiping Suspension Bridge || Meishan Township ????????
Taiping Suspension Bridge is situated in Taiping village, Meishan township,
Chiayi county with the total length of 281 meters and at 1,000 meters above sea level.
It overlooks the magnificent Jinan plain.
Its scenery surrounded by the blue sky, the clouds and the sea, including the night view is diverse daily.
There are old streets and the local distinctive tea and orchid business.

Weekdays 09:00-16:30
Weekend and Holidays 09:00-17:30
Closed on Wednesdays
Due to the road traffic control, visitors are suggested to take the Taiping Line shuttle bus at downtown Meishan. Visitors taking the Taiping Line shuttle bus can buy the discounted Taiping Suspension Bridge ticket only offered to the shuttle bus passengers!
The County Highway No. 162A to Taiping Suspension Bridge is a small and curvy mountain way with the traffic control.
Visitors to the Taiping Suspension Bridge have to buy the tickets online in advance.
Take the Taiping Line shuttle bus to challenge the Meishan 36-Turn Cloud Path for a relaxing trip to Taiping!

Please take bus toward the Meishan Bus Station. Visitors transfer to the Taiping Line shuttle bus to reach the Taiping Suspension Bridge.
▪ THSR Chiayi Station
Please take THSR Shuttle Bus toward Chiayi Train Station. Visitors take bus toward the Meishan Bus Station. Visitors transfer to the Taiping Line shuttle bus to reach the Taiping Suspension Bridge.
National Highway No.3 → Meishan Interchange (279k) → County Highway No.162A → Take the Taiping Line shuttle bus at downtown Meishan→ Taiping Suspension Bridge.

Chelungpu Fault Preservation Park (車籠埔斷層), ZhuShan, Nantou, Taiwan, 7/3/2013
Chelungpu Park is located across from the ZhuShan ramp of Formosa Freeway. As implied by its name, Chelungpu Fault Preservation Park is built for preserving the surface rupture of Chelungpu Fault caused by 1999 Jiji Earthquake. Featuring the spectacular surface faulting with vertical displacements, the Park consists of two main parts: the Geological Science Hall and the Fault Preservation Hall. The former mainly introduces Taiwan's geological features through films, photographs, illustrations, interactive screens and exhibits, while the latter, an eggshell-shaped building, displays the original shape of the fault caused by the Jiji Earthquake (921 earthquake).

Drive up to Taiping, east of Meishan and Jiayi
Beautiful scenery as we drove up a very curvy road into Taiping, outside of Jiayi. This was a senior couple missionary outing to Jiayi. In the car were Brother Chen (driving), Elder and Sister Kailiponi, and Sister and Elder Walker.
