The Mekong Discovery Trail is a network of safe, ecotourism journeys through some of the most natural and least populated parts of the Mekong in Cambodia in Kratie and Stung Treng Provinces.

Stung Treng Women's Development Center: Interview with Chantha Nguon
Chantha Nguon created SWDC in 2001 to help vulnerable women break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy in northeastern Cambodia.
SWDC is many things: A social enterprise. A silk-weaving center. A safety net and a refuge. The center offers job training, a living wage, a kindergarten, and classes in basic family health and literacy. It offers women the chance to live independently, to support their families, and send their kids to school.
And it helps women win the power to say no to abuse or early marriage, and no to dangerous work in garment factories or the sex trade. Safe work and an education? These are major accomplishments for women in one of the world's poorest places. mekongblue.com
