Together We Sail - Pilot - Beneteau Oceanis 350 sailing Sydney to Melbourne
In December 2018 we decided to buy a Beneteau Oceanis 350, located in Pittwater, Australia (about an hour North of Sydney).
This was pretty risky, as she hasn’t been moved in over 10 years, and the state of the boat reflected this. In the month since we took ownership, we have spent hundreds of hours (literally!) working on her to get her to a condition to sail back home to Melbourne. Episode 1.
We decided to film the adventure and work leading up to the big trip, and would like to share it with you all.
On February 4th we will commence the sail down the East coast of Australia from Pittwater - watch us live and behind the scenes on our stories! @TogetherWeSail and @JasonJohnOfficial
Thank you for watching, we hope you enjoy our video, please like and share with your friends and let us know what you think! Buy us a drink along the way at this link!

Trailer Sailing Melbourne to Swan Bay
Music: and Kevin MacLeod
Sailing 51 nautical miles across Port Phillip bay in my trailer sailer Halcyon, stopping over at Swan Bay near Queenscliff overnight in gentle winds from 0 to15 knots. One of my favorite spots on PPB that can only be accessed on the top half of the tide in shallow draft boats. Video gives an insight into why I sail these wonderfully versatile and capable boats.

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey DS42 Daydreamer - Port Phillip Bay, Melbourne Australia
Sailing on a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey DS42 to Blairgowrie for a relaxing week. The weather was perfect, the food divine, swimming in crystal clear waters around Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat club, and we watched movies at night. Perfect. I did noticed one problem. Did you? In the underwater shot, the prop was not feathered. The prop is supposed to collapse in order to avoid drag, however the video shows the prop still expanded, causing drag. I suspect some seaweed must have been caught in it. No bother, its an easy fix.

Feb 2002, thanks to old pal Jim got the chance to sail in the bay with Melbourne skyline on the horizon. Yacht built by Jim's father, sailed to NZ and back decades ago.
