Brighton Beach Memories
It was the Summer of '09, and I took the film I made that day at the beach and lined it up with a Barbra Streisand recording. The movie Summer of '42 had a profound effect on me as a boy. I love this song (and created the 'double-voice' effect at the end of the song quite by accident!) -- Nostalgic Bill.

Abandoned: Selby Railway Station | The Puffing Billy Line
Remind yourself of a time when VR ran the show and steam trains were all the rage. This line originally ran from Upper Ferntree Gully to Gembrook but the section of track from Upper Ferntree Gully to Belgrave has been converted to Broad Gauge and is now used for regular passenger services on the Belgrave line.
Have you ever been on Puffing Billy? What was your experience like? Floyd has been on it as a child, so he has many memories of it including losing a tooth, celebrating his brothers 2nd birthday party and going on the Thomas the Tank Engine train.
This is the start of a new series called The Puffing Billy Line where we look at all the abandoned stations that the train used to stop at.
Yep, we are train nerds. If you want to know what the hell stuff like Comeng, Broad Gauge or Narrow Gauge is, then just do the obvious thing and google it.

DAW MILL COAL MINE
Daw Mill colliery in Warwickshire produced half the UK's coal and was the deepest mine shaft in the Britain. After a extensive fire in 2013 the mine permanently shut and has remained that way ever since. more to come
