A short history walk through west Cornwall visiting Men an Tol.
A 2 mile easy to moderate walk through the historic countryside of west Cornwall. Passing Men an Tol, the Nine Maidens and Lanyon Quoit. Parking opposite Men an Tol studio most of this walk is off road and easy going. Leave at least an hour to walk this.
Parking is found on the road between Madron and Morvah just opposite the small Chapel, Men an Tol is signposted. Take the footpath, turning off to the right to reach Men an Tol. After visiting here go back to rejoin the main footpath and at the small ruined cottage turn right up the hill, you will see the Nine Maidens near the top. From the NIne Maidens you can walk over to Ding Dong mine. Cutting back past Men an Tol will lead you back to the parking spot. Lanyon Quiot is back up the road - you can either drive or walk a short way along the road to it.

Men an Tol
A visit to Men-en -tol ,wonderful magical landscape in Cornwall. Well worth a visit ,shush though, dont tell everyone! Can really feel the ancient past and can only delve into why...........? Personally i think it was all to do with the tin ,granite and copper seems running in the land creating a magnetic energy we call ley lines, but the energies are not so strong now as the minerals have been over mined! Just saying ! xx

Men-an-tol Cornwall | Ancient high technology?
I take a walk to Men-an-tol, Cornwall.
Legend says that passing through the circle cures illness. I managed to squeeze through (just). Thought to be a naturally made hole and then placed with other stones in the late Neolithic or early Bronze Age. Some believe it is evidence of ancient high technology.
Very windy!

The Nine Maidens of Boskednan
This video is of the Nine Maidens of Boskednan stone circle at Boskednan, near Madron, Cornwall, UK. The Nine Maidens has eleven stones but it use to have 22-24. The stone circle is quite hard to get to. From the lane to Men-an-tol and Men Scryfa carry on walking until you get to the old ruins. Go right but not through a gate and carry on walking on the path for about a mile or from Ding Dong mine walk on the path towards the rest of England and when you get to a metal gate go on a path on the left (which can get a bit overgrown in Summer so watch out for adders) and walk for about a mile. You will find the Nine Maidens.
