Menengai Crater is an extinct volcano located in the Northern side of Nakuru. It is the single largest surviving volcanic crater in the world, the largest volcano caldera in Kenya and the second largest volcano caldera in Africa.

Missing mother of two found murdered in Nakuru
Meanwhile, in Nakuru the body of a 25-year-old woman who was last seen with her estranged husband on Sunday last week has been found. Faith Wangui was last reported to have gone to visit her estranged lover in an attempt to mend fences. Her body was discovered dumped at the Menengai crater. Her estranged lover is on the run.

Hiking round Mount Longonot Crater-Kenya(Part 2)
Mount Longonot is protected by Kenya Wildlife Service as part of Mount Longonot National Park. A 3.1 km trail runs from the park entrance up to the crater rim, and continues in a 7.2 km loop encircling the crater. After climbing the mountain, We embarked on a hike around the 7.2km crater that saw us reaching the highest peak on the Mount (Kilele Ngamia) 2780 M high.
