2970 Ash Mill Rd Doylestown, PA 18902
Timeless, tasteful, one-of-a-kind, elegant, private, fabulous? These are just a few of many words to describe this incredible property, located on one of Bucks County's most desired scenic roads in the heart of Buckingham Township. Ash Mill Rd is lined with beautiful homes and this house truly stands out for both its design and quality craftsmanship. The owners purchased the property in 2004, tore down the existing dwelling and commissioned architect Lynn Taylor to create this masterpiece, perfectly suited for this private, magnificently landscaped oasis on 5.6 acres. As soon as you park in the circular drive, you'll recognize that this home has been designed and built with thoughtful consideration, well matched to its surroundings. The main entrance opens to a spacious and artful living room area. A hallway leads to a cozy den, large laundry area and full bath. The back of the house has large windows overlooking a spectacular display of gardens, pool and loggia, so the cathedral ceilinged great room with stone fireplace, gourmet eat-in kitchen and dining room offer views that will mesmerize all who visit. A sunlit hallway leads from the living room to a large game room with wet-bar and powder room. A staircase leads to a charming and private guest suite with full bath and walk-in closet. The overall floor plan is spacious, filled with natural light and stunning architectural features ? large enough to entertain, and yet still cozy and serene. French doors open to a beautiful granite and bluestone patio area with covered terrace overlooking the custom pool with competition lap lane and acres of lawn and gardens. Beautifully pointed stone knee-walls topped with flame-cut granite surround the seating area. A whole-house sound system (indoor and out) further enhances an already blissful experience. The central staircase leads to an open, bright sitting area flanked by the main bedroom suite on one end - and two bedrooms and a beautifully renovated bath on the other. The main suite is quite captivating - A peaceful and welcoming retreat with sitting area, stunning new designer bathroom with soaking tub and walk-in shower, an office with beautiful built-ins, and two walk-in closets. OAK LEA is incomparable in all aspects: A must-see for the discerning buyer.
