A trip across the Coromandel Ranges from Waiheke Island into Whitianga. I pass over Rotoroa island and Ponui Island outbound and climb to 4200 ft to top the small cloud layer.The Mercury Bay Aero Club do an excellent job with the airfield and are continuing to expand with more hangers and hanger homes planned.Back into Waiheke airfield for a downhill landing with a reasonable crosswind blowing.

The completion of Stage One of the Whitianga Town Centre upgrade means the project is almost half-way to being finished.
7 July the fences will begin to come down along Albert Street, between Blacksmith Lane and Monk St, which means vehicle traffic will be able to come through.
