The Seafood Extravaganza, Mersea Island
Late autumn is of course the time to make our seasonal pilgrimage to the home of what many consider to be the world's finest oyster - Mersea Island, Colchester. Our hugely popular Seafood Extravaganza is back and is a celebration of the Colchester Native Oyster, probably the most renowned in epicurean circles, and provides a unique opportunity to taste them in a stunning setting as close to their natural habitat as one can get.
Appeal for West Mersea Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, Essex
The beautiful, historic Church of St Peter and St Paul has stood in the West Mersea village centre for many centuries and is a well loved landmark for the local community and visitors. The cost in both time and money to preserve, maintain and develop this ancient building is high.
An appeal is now launched for support ensuring that this generation hands the Church on in good order to the next, just as previous custodians have done.

Coastal Foraging with Craig Evans mini series part 2 Foraging on the Beach and Rocky Shore.
In this second part of my mini series, Jack and Lily accompany me to a very productive beach and headland in West Wales UK. We enjoyed a great day out foraging for razor clams, mussels, cockles, crabs, sea weeds and other edible delicacies, the weather was again glorious, which meant Jack was able to film to his very high standard. In the third and final part we cook and eat what we caught/foraged on the day.
Jack and Lily have their own Youtube channel , it makes for excellent viewing with great quality filming and editing.
I now run my foraging/ team building courses for further information, please visit
