The Merseyside Maritime Museum is a museum based in the city of Liverpool, Merseyside, England. It is part of National Museums Liverpool and an Anchor Point of ERIH, The European Route of Industrial Heritage. Opened in 1980 and expanded in 1986, the museum occupies warehouse block D at the Albert Dock, along with the Piermaster's House, Canning Half Tide Dock and Canning Graving Docks. The city's seafaring heritage is brought to life within the historic Albert Dock. The museum's collections reflect the international importance of Liverpool as a gateway to the world, including its role in the transatlantic slave trade and emigration, the merchant navy and the RMS Titanic. The UK Border Agency National Museum, 'Seized! The Border and Customs uncovered' is located in the basement gallery of the building.

November 2019 and on a short break to Liverpool we took a visit to the Maritime Museum.
This is by the Albert Docks and is free entry, but please make a donation if you can.
It takes you through the maritime history in Liverpool and also has a Titanic exhibition.
If you looking for something to do when visiting Liverpool this is well worth a visit.

There's so much more to record,so,if you're ever in Liverpool,England,I recommend you visit our Merseyside Maritime Museum.There's the International Slavery Museum on the 3rd floor,but I find this too upsetting,+cruel.,so I chose not to video it.I understand that it's important to see it,to make sure it never happens again,but it always upsets me to see it. Xx
