INSIDE LOOK at SUPER BOWL 2014- MetLife Stadium TOUR
MetLife Stadium is a stadium located at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It is the home of the New York Giants and New York Jets of the National Football League and is adjacent to the site of the former Giants Stadium, which was home to the Giants from 1976 until December 2009 and the Jets from 1984 until January 2010. Like its predecessor, MetLife Stadium is the only NFL stadium shared by two teams.
The stadium is owned by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority on paper. However, the Giants and Jets jointly built the stadium using private funds, and operate it through the MetLife Stadium Company, a 50/50 joint venture between the two teams. In contrast, the Jets were tenants of the NJSEA at Giants Stadium. The NJSEA continues to provide security and emergency medical services staff under contract to the stadium, as they have done in the past at Giants Stadium. The stadium opened as New Meadowlands Stadium on April 10, 2010, featuring the Big City Classic lacrosse event. In 2011, MetLife, an insurance company based in New York City, acquired the naming rights to the stadium. At a construction cost of approximately $1.6 billion, it is the most expensive stadium ever built and is the largest stadium in the NFL in terms of permanent seating capacity.
On May 25, 2010, it was announced that Super Bowl XLVIII, to take place in 2014, was awarded to the stadium, the first time a Super Bowl would be played in the New York metropolitan area, and the first time that a non-domed stadium in a cold-weather city would host it
Super Bowl XLVIII is expected to be the coldest outdoor game in Super Bowl history. It will also be the most secure.
In fact, a lockdown is already in place at MetLife stadium and you can't get within 300 hundred feet without the proper credentials.
This is part of plan that's been in place for more than three years.
While 80,000 fans are enjoying Super Bowl XLVIII inside Metlife stadium, thousands of police and federal agents will be watching everything but the game. They are prepared for an exhaustive list of emergencies and worst case scenarios, including fire, shootings and terror attacks.
The New Jersey state police are in charge of Super Bowl security. They are working with more than 100 state, local and federal agencies and facing unique challenges for this year's event.
At least 40 percent of ticket holders will ride buses and trains to the stadium. Riders will have to be carefully screened for bombs or weapons before they board.
The stadium is located near water in the Meadowlands so police will put patrol boats in the marshes mindful they're just a few miles from New York city — the most popular terrorist target in America.
The security web includes a temporary command post built near the stadium. Fox News was given an exclusive tour of the facility, where officers and agents divided into subcommittees will monitor everything from road and weather conditions to radiation levels and hundreds of video feeds. forbes rich list London luxury shopping billionaire millionaire Monaco super rich private jet yacht entertainment luxs report us usa America uk London executive Donald trump elite executive arab ceo forbes Europe vip money lil wayne travel 5 star hotel super car bugatti Lamborghini Ferrari Porsche private jet 2014 2015 monaco luxury get rich gambling investment Beverly Hills Malibu Miami positive thinking super yacht mega yacht playboy mansion luxury lifestyle mansion super bowl 2014 metlife stadium super bowl XLVIII denver broncos peyton manning seattle Seahawks kam chancellor
One of their big concerns isn't getting people inside the stadium on Super Bowl Sunday, it's handling a mass exodus if people decide to leave early if the weather is bad or the game is a blowout.

CVE4060 TRANSPORTATION METLIFE STADIUM TRAFFIC SOLUTIONS
Based on the information provided by the traffic and parking department for MetLife Stadium, located at MetLife Stadium Dr., East Rutherford, NJ, 07073, their issues consist of overcrowded parking lots in certain locations and exiting traffic time of more than an hour. Currently, there are about fourteen parking lots circling around the stadium.
Parking lot P, located at the far north west corner from the stadium is the least packed parking lot. Parking lots B and D, located at the south and south east side from the stadium always reach their maximum capacity. Usually there are fifteen to twenty thousand cars on-site during football season. There are six to seven routes to exit the stadium, all being non-consistent.
The main state highways surrounding MetLife Stadium are routes 3 and 120. Route 3 is runs about ten miles from U.S. Route 46 in Clifton, Passaic County to U.S. Route 1/9 in North Bergen, Hudson County. Route 120 is in Bergen County, New Jersey and runs almost three miles that interchanges with Route 3 in East Rutherford (southside of Metlife Stadium) as well as with Route 17 in Carlstadt, New Jersey (northeast of MetLife Stadium). MetLife Stadium is the home of the sibling American football rivalry teams Giants and Jets in the National Football League (NFL) representing New York City. Because it is very expensive and difficult to place a stadium in a heavily populated city, MetLife Stadium was built out in the suburbs of East Rutherford, New Jersey where access to freeways is feasible. As a result, Route 3, which has no traffic lights, provides the access for New York fans to take when attending a game at MetLife Stadium. New York is only five miles away through Route 3.
New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), New York Department of Transportation (NYDOT), and New Jersey Transit are all working together with MetLife Stadium to try to ease the traffic exiting the stadium after a game.

East Rutherford,NJ
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — In a sports stadium transformed into what was called the world's largest synagogue, tens of thousands of people celebrated the completion of the reading of the Talmud, the book of Jewish laws and traditions.
The program at MetLife Stadium on Wednesday night combined a festive atmosphere of singing and dancing with more the serious pursuits of prayer and reflection; it was dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust.
Tonight is a night of inspiration and opportunity, Rabbi Elly Kleimnan told the gathering.
Rabbis from around the world addressed the audience during the five-hour program, and speeches and prayers in Hebrew and English were streamed by audio and video throughout the stadium's concourses.
The celebration, called Siyum HaShas, marks the completion of the Daf Yomi, or daily reading and study of one page of the 2,711-page book. The cycle takes about seven and a half years to finish.
Organizers marked the start of the 13th cycle of study and reading. The event was organized by Agudath Israel of America, an Orthodox Jewish organization. It started celebrating the cycle of study in Europe in 1923.
Thousands of folding chairs and white plastic flooring transformed the stadium's playing field. A dais was built for about 500 rabbis.
A massive mechitzah, or divider that separates men and women during prayers, encircled the upper deck of the stadium, where women were seated. Its curtains were drawn during prayers and opened when they were over.
Women in the upper deck prayed from prayer books, listened intently to speeches and took cell phone videos of the gathering. Men rushed around the stadium's hallways and field when not praying.
A little more than midway through the celebration, the rabbis sang Siman Tov and Mazel Tov, a song of celebration. Attendees danced, swayed in the stands and formed large circles on the field. Rabbis on the dais draped their arms around one another and sang into microphones while rocking from side to side.
The celebration was the largest celebration to date, officials said, with more than 90,000 tickets sold and simulcasts taking place at more than 100 locations worldwide.
It cost about $4 million, said Rabbi Yosef C. Golding, executive director of the Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society in Brooklyn, N.Y., who was in charge of logistics. Most of the money was raised from sales of tickets, which ranged from $18 to $1,000.
The program helped unite thousands of people worldwide who are studying the same page each day, said Rabbi Gedaliah Weinberger, chairman of the Daf Yomi Commission at Agudath Israel.
In a certain sense it helps unite everyone, because you have these many thousands of people, tens of thousands of people, who are each studying the same page at any given day, Rabbi Weinberger said. Someone could be from a different city, a different school, a different country. They have a lot to talk about. That was part of the original intent.
Col. Rick Fuentes, superintendent of the New Jersey State Police, said about 600 state police and members of 71 agencies worked at the event.
Fuentes said troopers completed an eight-hour course where they were familiarized with the stadium and learned about the customs of the Jewish community.
