Meet Me In The Park - ( Pentagon Memorial ) ... HD
MP3 vocal & Trumpet INSTRUMENTAL files are free to download at ... TheTributeLady.com
I first learned of The Pentagon Memorial Park project back in June 2005, when I met Abraham Scott, then on the Board of Directors for the planned memorial.
Abraham lost his beautiful wife, Janice Scott in the attack on the Pentagon.
Abraham was to speak & I was performing God Will Prevail - The Victim's Anthem for the first 9/11 Memorial Dedication in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the Pen-t Memorial.
That evening, I performed along with various other performers in a free concert to the families & friends, at the famed Meyer Theatre in Green Bay.
Afterwards, Abraham asked for more cds to bring back to the other Board members, to possibly consider having me perform that song or others when the Pentagon Memorial would be finished & dedicated.
Several years had gone by & I had seen Abraham a few more times, always seeing that loss in his eyes, and, having seen it over & over in the family member's eyes of all the 9/11 victims after performing for them by request for the 5th Anniversary events at Ground Zero in 2006.
Then, late 2006, we went to D.C. for the first time...and, flying in...there below me, was the Pentagon. I had such an overwhelming sense of loss. Thoughts of all those I'd met who'd lost their loved ones came rushing over me.
In late 2007, I revisited the website for the Pentagon Memorial to see how the project was progressing...I found myself suddenly overcome with such grief. As I sat at my piano, all my thoughts & feelings came to life, in song... Meet Me In The Park was born.
All downloads are free ... MeetMeInThePark.com
My original thought was to dedicate the song to Abraham's wife. However, that very night....I received a message from Shelia Flocco whom I had never met, she had lost her son, AG2 Matthew Michael Flocco at the Pentagon.
I began searching for everything I could read about Matthew, and, as a mom...my heart just broke for this her, her husband, her family & friends, and, for Matthew. I then knew, God was leading me to dedicate the song to this young man, who had so much life ahead of him & was such an inspiration, his life, service & sacrifice will NEVER be forgotten.
The song is also dedicated in memory of ALL 184 precious souls who perished that fateful day at the Pentagon.
May God hold them in HIS loving arms, and keep their family & friends in HIS tender care, until they meet again.
Sept. 13, 2009...we were requested by the Army to perform honors for the Walter Reed 100 year events in Washington, D.C., sounding Taps for the wreath laying ceremony at Walter Reed's graveside at Arlington National Cemetery.
Graciously, our Army transport driver also took us to the Pentagon Memorial. I finally was able to pay my/our respects to Matthew & all those who perished, before later heading over to the Vietnam Memorial Wall to again pay respects in honor of my cousin, SP4 Guy Lamar Mears, Jr. - KIA - Vietnam, Oct. 17, 1970.
On behalf of Bugles Across America & a grateful nation, Larry sounded LIVE Taps at Matthew's memorial bench at the Pentagon Memorial.
May this video always be a reminder of Matthew & each precious life represented there & may we NEVER FORGET!
In HIS service,
Susan D. Wiseman - The Tribute Lady

The Quakers, the Dutch, and the Ladies: Crash Course US History #4
In which John Green teaches you about some of the colonies that were not in Virginia or Massachussetts. Old New York was once New Amsterdam. Why they changed it, I can say; ENGLISH people just liked it better that way, and when the English took New Amsterdam in 1643, that's just what they did. Before the English got there though, the colony was full of Dutch people who treated women pretty fairly, and allowed free black people to hold jobs. John also discusses Penn's Woods, also known as Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania was (briefly) a haven of religious freedom, and William Penn dealt relatively fairly with the natives his colony displaced. Of course, as soon as Penn died, the colonist started abusing the natives immediately. We venture as far south as the Carolina colonies, where the slave labor economy was taking shape. John also takes on the idea of the classless society in America, and the beginning of the idea of the American dream. It turns out that in spite of the lofty dream that everyone had an equal shot in the new world, there were elites in the colonies. And these elites tended to be in charge. And then their kids tended to take over when they died. So yeah, not quite an egalitarian paradise. In addition to all this, we get into the Salem Witch Trials, the treatment of women in the colonies, and colonial economics. Oh yeah, one more thing, before you comment about how he says we're talking about the American Revolution next week, but the end screen says Seven Years War, consider that perhaps the Seven Years War laid the groundwork for the revolution to happen.

This is a compilation of mostly national television ads that aired during the early and mid-1980s. They originate from off-the-air VHS recordings.
Some of these spots are masterpieces. They provide a glimpse into an era of TV broadcasting when the commercial breaks often were as interesting and well produced as the programs they interrupted.

Your body language may shape who you are | Amy Cuddy
Body language affects how others see us, but it may also change how we see ourselves. Social psychologist Amy Cuddy argues that power posing -- standing in a posture of confidence, even when we don't feel confident -- can boost feelings of confidence, and might have an impact on our chances for success. (Note: Some of the findings presented in this talk have been referenced in an ongoing debate among social scientists about robustness and reproducibility. Read Amy Cuddy's response here:

USA vs USSR Fight! The Cold War: Crash Course World History #39
In which John Green teaches you about the Cold War, which was occasionally hot, but on average, it was just cool. In the sense of its temperature. It was by no means cool, man. After World War II, there were basically two big geopolitical powers left to divide up the world. And divide they did. The United States and the Soviet Union divvied up Europe in the aftermath of the war, and then proceeded to spend the next 45 years fighting over the rest of the world. It was the great ideological struggle, with the US on the side of capitalism and profit, and the USSR pushing Communism, so-called. While both sides presented themselves as the good guy in this situation, the reality is that there are no good guys. Both parties to the Cold War engaged in forcible regime changes, built up vast nuclear arsenals, and basically got up to dirty tricks. If you had to pick a bad guy though, I would point out that the USSR had no intention of bringing Laika the Cosmonaut Dog home alive. That poor dog never had a shot.
Sorry to disappoint, but the economist t-shirts are not a real product.

World War II: Crash Course World History #38
Crash Course World History is now available on DVD! Visit to buy a set for your home or classroom.
In which John Green teaches you about World War II, aka The Great Patriotic War, aka The Big One. So how did this war happen? And what does it mean? We've all learned the facts about World War II many times over, thanks to repeated classroom coverage, the History channel, and your grandfather (or maybe great-grandfather) showing you that Nazi bayonet he used to keep in his sock drawer and telling you a bunch of age-inappropriate stories about his harrowing war experiences. So, why did the Axis powers think forceful expansion was a good idea? (they were hungry). So why did this thing shake out in favor of the Allies? HInt: it has to do with the fact that it was a world war. Germany and Japan made some pretty serious strategic errors, such as invading Russia and attacking the United States, and those errors meant that pretty much the whole world was against them. So, find out how this worldwide alliance came together to stop the Axis expansion. All this, plus Canada finally gets the respectful treatment it deserves. Oh, and a warning: there are a few graphic images in this episode. Sensitive viewers may want to use caution, especially around the 9:15 mark.
