Houlong Cape,(Cape of Good Hope).Miaoli,Taiwan
Houlong Cape of Good Hope is lcoated on a sea front hill. It overlooks ebbing and flowing, waves, an infinite ocean, and a coastal bay that spans for several kilometres. The sunrise and sunset at Houlong Cape of Good Hope are also well appreciated scenery.
Along coast from Houlong (後龍) to Zhunan (竹南) in Miaoli, more than 25 windmills are set to transfer wind energy to electricity. The gigantic fan blades, straight towers, ocean in deep blue and clear sky form a breathtaking picture together. The best place to see such wonder is, indubitably, Cape Hope.

The secret mountain escape in Miaoli County
Tongxiao Township in Miaoli County hides a secret only locals know. Over the past few years, the township has earmarked funds for a hiking trail and a viewing platform. They have turned what once was hilly wasteland into a rewarding place for leisure and sightseeing. This mountainous area is called Lingding. If you hike up and look out into the distance, you can see a winding road that looks like a heart. You can also enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery. The tallest peak on the mountain is home to the 300-year-old Fude Temple, a religious center for the locals.

A Journey Through the Taiwanese Hakka Culture | 好客慢遊 品味客家
The FilmStinct crew flew to Taiwan with a mission, create a promotional travel video of the Hakka Culture for the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Pingtung County Government.
Pingtung is the southernmost county of Taiwan and Hakka emigrated there around two centuries ago.
The Hakka population in Taiwan is around 4.6 million people today. They are Taiwan’s largest ethnic minority.
The Hakka are Han Chinese. They emerged as a distinct sub-ethnic group, speaking their own language and following their own customs.
We shot during the preparations for the Lunar New Year, the most important Chinese festivity. We had the privilege to witness how the local farms and industries were working hard to leave everything prepared for the arriving of the Pig Year.
With this video we hope to awaken your interest to this marvellous but not very known Hakka culture. Enjoy the ride!

Longteng Bridge - in Miaoli County, Taiwan
Longten bridge was built in 1906, and it was designed American engineers Theodore Cooper and C.C. Schneider.
It is a historical building, unfortunately, the bridge remained the columns stool there, take a photography for check-in yourself.
