夏が終わるスイーツ。


今年も中津川に行って食べてきました。

午前中に到着。
ですから、待つことなく食べることができました。

一年ぶりの栗白玉。
相変わらずおいしいねぇ。

濃厚な栗の味。
秋だけど、まだ暑いから冷たいのがうれしい。
大好き。

We went to Nakatsugawa to eat Kuri-siratama.

This is a sweet chestnut soup.
We can eat this only in autumn.

When autumn comes, I will want to eat this.

Very delicious.

熊野三山、二ヶ所目は熊野速玉大社。

新宮市の街中にあり、登り階段はありません。
駐車場から平坦。

神門をくぐると目の前に見える神殿。
鮮やかな朱色の柱と、緑の格子。
そして白い砂利のコントラストが美きれいです。

参拝の後は、ここでも御朱印をいただきます。
ここは、速玉大社の御朱印の他、神倉神社のもいただけます。
神倉神社は速玉大社の摂社です。

駐車場にはおみやげ屋さんがあります。
この地方の珍しい蜜柑類を買いました。
三宝柑。

Here is located in the town of Shingu.

Inspection of tsunami damage at Rikusentakata (Part II)

Inspection of damage at Rikusentakata port following the March 2011 tsunami.
(This video is taken from higher ground than Part I)

Took measurement in Michi no eki building. Tsunami height was 10.37m, not adjusted for tide.
Very little coastal defences visible, those that existed had suffered extensive damage
Coastal dyke was built by piling sand and placing a concrete revetment on top. This is quite weak if any erosion occurs, and it had failed in many places.
Coastal forest in front of the town was completely destroyed, only one tree left alive. The area appeared to have been some sort of coastal dune, and suffered very extensive coastal erosion, with little visible. The forest could have been some sort of coastal defence, but was completely ineffective.
The town had suffered very extensive damage. Few buildings left standing.
