November 14, 2019. Thanks to Hiromi sensei for the beautiful autumn day tour. It was also a day well-spent with the girls - Liezel, Lorevis, Edlene, Jennifer and Charlotte. Ofcouse including me, Hera.
First stop was at the Ukiha Inari Jinja/Shrine, 90 bright red torii gates lining along the Minou Mountain Range. At the top, you'll get to see a stunning panoramic view of the Chikugo mountainuous terrain and the town as well. Ukiha Inari Shrine will remind you of the famous Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto. We proceeded and we had a quick stop at the Eki no Michi Ukiha-shi for restroom purposes and an ice cream treat from Hiromi sensei.
As we entered Oita Prefecture, we were at awe because of the beautiful autumn spots. Beautiful red, yellow and oranges hues of leaves were along the mountains and it was breathtaking! Thank you Lord for Your beautiful creation! ❣
Next stop was at the yakisoba restaurant because we were hungry (you can see the evidence LOL). It was delicious and we left the place with satisfied and full stomachs. Thank you again, oh Lord! ❣
Final stop took a long ride because it was located in the Kuju mountain range, thanks to God we arrived safely to the Kokonoe Yume Otsurihashi (Grand Suspension) Bridge. The weather was cloudy but the sun peaked in so we got to see the breathtaking autumn view. It is Japan's longest and loftiest pedestrian bridge that presents panoramic scenes that includes two waterfalls (one was visible, the other wasn't because it was covered with clouds), and the valley. It was shivering cold when we reached in the middle of the bridge but we were able to take photos and videos.
We end our day tour tired but happy, big hug and thanks to our supportive and loving teacher, Hiromi sensei. Thank you Lord for today's beautiful experience and having Hiromi sensei in our lives. ????

Daytrip to Ukiha!
A friend and I ventured out to Ukiha for the day where we visited a farmer's market (my other Ukiha video), got lost, ate delicious food, went pear picking, saw the Tsuzura rice paddies, and even tried raw horse sashimi (basashi)!!

山苞の道をサイクリング（耳納の里～山苞の駅）
福岡県久留米市の耳納連山北麓を東西に走る「山苞（やまづと）の道」は歩きたくなる日本の道500選に選ばれています。
うきは市吉井町のJAにじ耳納の里から県道151号線経由で山苞の道をサイクリングしました。

全国みな同じ風習だとは思いませんが、我が福岡県うきは市浮羽町では家の棟上げにお餅をまきます。
江戸時代の灌漑水路工事 袋野用水の流れをたどる @福岡県うきは市
筑後川の急流に造られた水路トンネルとそこから引かれた水路をたどって紹介する動画です。
1672年に当時の大庄屋田代重栄（しげよし）が私財を投じてトンネルを掘り、その後堰が作られました。
トンネル部分より下流の水路は、息子の重仍（しげより）が工事を引き継ぎ1679年頃に完成したようです。
