The Michinoku Shiokaze hiking trail runs along the north-east coast of Japan. At the moment, 370km is open, but it will eventually cover 700km of the East Japan coast, between Hachinohe in Aomori and Soma in Fukushima.
In this video, a group of Iwate JETs have an adventure in Tanohata, Iwate, one of the most beautiful locations on the trail.
